Lindsey, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s jump right into how you came up with the idea?

Coming to be a content creator, and brand designer is a profession that has developed over the years. It started with me creating content like monthly videos, photoshoots, and graphic designs to promote my brand Love by Lindsey Michelle, which I founded in 2020. I am a woman of God and I created Love by Lindsey Michelle as a platform to share God’s love, the things I love, and my faith to encourage others during the ups and downs of life. My life is a testimony of what happens when I started to seek the Kingdom of God above everything else, and how He added things into my life. Then, from that it flourished into various brands reaching out to me to collaborate and create content across different social media platforms. That was the most exciting part because I had no idea that I had this creative side in me. Not only that, the process of graphic design and video editing is exhilarating and rejuvenating, as I bring my ideas and vision to life to create captivating visuals that can appeal to and inspire an audience. Working with different brands, I am truly learning the craft, different photography techniques, social media trends and practices.

Last year, I landed my first client. The client reached out to me and asked if I could rebrand their company by coming up with different marketing strategies to attract more customers. This blew my mind because this is something I really enjoy doing. I just kept being consistent and then, God opened up this first door of opportunity. Not to mention, I pray all the time that God will lead me to what He has for my life.

Do I know this was a worthwhile endeavor or if I could succeed? No I don’t know, I’m just trusting God in this season. I do know His Word says, “Commit your actions to the Lord, and your plans will succeed.” Proverbs 16:3 NLT. That’s confirmation to me that I will succeed as long as He is comes first in my life. I pray and invite God into my business connections and to bring the clients He has chosen to support and prosper my business. That’s what it’s all about for me, stepping out on faith and trusting God will do the rest.

My name is Lindsey M. Ohiosimuan, wife, mother, brand designer, and creator of Love by Lindsey Michelle. I was born in St. Louis, Missouri. One day, I packed up everything and never looked back. Houston, Texas is currently where I reside with my husband Oise pronounced “Oui(e)-seh.” I adore being a wife to Oise and a mother to Eliana. It’s truly a reward and blessing to have these roles. Love by Lindsey Michelle is a brand I created to encourage people by sharing God’s love, my faith and testimony. I share the love I have for my marriage, my family, beauty tips, and my journey of motherhood. Over the years, my focus and goal in life has changed. Now I’m living my life to hear the Lord say, “well done, good and faithful servant.” I got into my industry by prayer, and consistency. That may sound odd, but inviting God into every situation is what is expected of me. I got tired of doing things my way and making mistakes because of it. I prayed before I started Love by Lindsey Michelle. I prayed before I started dating my now husband. I prayed before we got pregnant with our daughter. I prayed during our pregnancy. I pray before accepting new clients. I strive to always be going in the direction that God has for me. So, I prayed and God opened up the door for brand designing. I help clients design an image for their audience that promotes their brand, products or services. The different works I design are logos, brand merchandise, and visuals. I help clients, if requested, create content strategies and hashtags to grow their brand and achieve a wider audience.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?

I’m always growing my audience on social media because I love making new friends and genuinely enjoy supporting what others are creating. I remember when I first started to build my social media presence I was too focused on how many people were following me. Who cares! As long as I am consistent, and keep showing up as myself, the growth will come by God’s grace. My goal is to encourage or empower that one. I’m always making an effort to discover ways to step out of my comfort zone. If I am ever comfortable, then I’m not growing.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?

The most rewarding part of being a content creator and brand designer is witnessing the finished product. There is never a time I’m not discovering fresh ideas for content. Lately, I’ve been learning the skill of videography, and creative photos with just using my iPhone. I’m super excited to share what I’ve been working on with my audience.
