We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Lindsey Kaye Pace a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Lindsey Kaye, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.
I first realized I wanted to become an artist at the age of eight. It was during an event at my elementary school called “Art in the Park.” I had the opportunity to perform “Say My Name” by Destiny’s Child, I was in my Beyoncé role then lol and I did the rap verse on Kirk Franklin’s song “Stomp”. That day marked a significant moment for me; it was then that I recognized my ability to entertain on a stage, I saw how people responded to it with so much joy. I knew then that, that was what I wanted to do,
Lindsey Kaye, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Who is Lindsey Kaye Pace?
I’m Lindsey Kaye Pace—an R&B soul singer, actress, entrepreneur, mother, and motivator. My artistry is rooted in authenticity. I believe in using music as a powerful tool for healing. Whether I’m on stage, in the studio, on set or connecting with community, I aim to uplift, inspire, and create meaningful experiences through my work.
Originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan and now based in Nashville, Tennessee. Music is in my DNA. It’s literally the foundation of my roots.I come from a lineage of musicians on both sides of my family, so I truly was born into this. My journey has been a combination of passion, persistence, and purpose. Over the years, I’ve honed my skills not just as a vocalist, actress and performer, but as a creative in its entirety.
My style can best be described as classy, flamboyant, bold, with a hint of sexy —a unique blend that honors tradition while confidently embracing individuality. I bring that same energy to all aspects of my work, from live performances and recordings to acting roles.
What sets me apart is my resilience. I’ve turned personal struggles into strength and used my story to step into this stage of my life fully empowered—not just as an artist, but as the woman and mother I’ve always aspired to be. That journey is something I’m deeply proud of and ready to share fully with the world.
Through my platform, I hope to inspire others to keep going no matter what, focusing on your Plan A!. My mission is to remind my followers, clients, and supporters that anything is possible and Love is the Answer. Whether you’re listening to my music, watching me on screen, or connecting with me through social media or community, my goal is to leave you feeling encouraged, seen, safe and uplifted
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
Absolutely. At the heart of everything I do, love is the answer—that’s the mission and the message I carry into every creative space I step into. My goal is to bring love back—not just romantic love, but self-love, healing love, and the kind of love that inspires growth and connection.
There was a season when I had to step away from music to truly understand that mission. I needed time to heal, to reconnect with my roots, to learn how to balance motherhood, and to create space for my femininity to be embraced and expressed. Through that process, I discovered that love wasn’t just something I needed—it was what had been driving me all along.
That deeper understanding now fuels everything I create. It motivates my performances, shapes my songwriting, and informs the way I show up as an artist and a woman. My hope is that anyone who engages with my work feels that love, and is reminded of their own power to heal and keep going.
Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
One of the biggest lessons I had to unlearn was pride. As a creative, especially early on, I carried a lot of pride—thinking I had to do everything on my own, that vulnerability equaled weakness, and that asking for help meant I wasn’t strong enough. But the truth is, this journey will humble you and make you realize that pride truly comes before destruction. The creative path is filled with highs and lows, and trying to navigate it alone only makes it harder.
Over time, I realized that real growth comes from community, collaboration, and an open heart. I had to learn how to take criticism without letting it crush me, how to turn rejection into redirection, and how to show up as a team player—not just for others, but for myself. There’s a big difference between confidence and pride. Confidence says, “I believe in myself.” Pride says, “I don’t need anyone.” And I’ve learned that no dream is built in isolation.
Letting go of pride opened the door to deeper connections, better opportunities, and more meaningful creative work. That shift changed everything for me. I’m looking forward to showing up in this new light and helping others walk in theirs.
