Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Lindsey Jensen. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Lindsey , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
Our mission is to help people feel their very best! So many people of all ages suffer from depression, anxiety and other mental illnesses, if we can be that person to help them feel better, even for just a day then I feel our mission is complete.
Lindsey , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
We offer a private salon setting where people shouldn’t feel anxious or overwhelmed by the typical salon setting of others talking and hair dryers blowing, especially for those with sensory sensitivity.
Our “Beast” salon is an old Toy Hauler, so the back door drops down for wheelchair accessiblity and we’ve frequented a handful of 55+ communities in the past year.
The Beast is also big enough for wedding parties, Bachelorette parties and birthday parties where we offer hair styling, nail polishing and makeup applications on the littles.
Driving in Arizona is crazy, so we can allow you to avoid the dangerous drive by us coming to you!
My partner, Stephanie and I always have a smile on our faces and are willing to listen to client’s hair requests, talk through pros and cons and we offer transparent pricing before booking.
How’d you meet your business partner?
I had posted a hiring ad on Facebook and Stephanie responded with interest. I checked out her social media for other reviews and hair coloring skills. She had beautiful work! I asked for her to meet me at my home and see the small salon (Beauty).
We talked about goals and I loved her smile and positive vibe! She did a ride along with me and then I rode with her and of course she was PERFECT!
This was about a year and a half ago, I hope to have her as my 49% business partner within the year. I couldn’t do it without her. I’d also like for her to quit her flight attendant job. Haha
Has your business ever had a near-death moment? Would you mind sharing the story?
Turns out, when doing payroll, I didn’t click “submit” for 3 of the 4 weeks in September, so Stephanie didn’t get paid for 3 weeks!
She didn’t even tell me! She just kept telling me “it’s okay boss”. She did eventually get paid for all missing payrolls. Haha
She is the best addition I could have ever asked for and has been an integral part of my business flourishing.
