Lindsey, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?

Starting a family can be an exciting, overwhelming and anxiety-filled time. What Peek A Boo Baby 3D Ultrasound Studio hopes to do is to bring some calmness and bonding to the family, whether this be their first or tenth baby that they will be bringing home. We all know that there have been some difficult times in the past few years which has impacted many people with their plans in childbearing. From baby showers to family and friends visiting the new baby, many of these things have been halted. As the owner of this studio, I want to be able to bring back the fun and excitement that comes with growing your family! Peek A Boo Baby Studio can accomodate up to 25 people for baby showers as well as 3D imaging sessions. I encourage you to bring friends and family to come see your unborn baby in incredible 2D, 3D, 4D and virtual HD imaging! Bonding with your baby begins as soon as you see that positive test, I want to continue this bond by allowing you to see your babies features before he or she is even born! You can see if your baby has hair, eyelashes, dimples and even if they look like mommy, daddy, or a sibling!

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers

I have been a diagnostic sonographer (ultrasound tech) for over a decade now. I am board certified in OBGYN, abdomen, vascular, breast and fetal echocardiography! I am still currently scanning full-time at a local clinic, but also decided that I wanted to offer 3D imaging to my expecting patients and friends! Peek A Boo Baby has multiple packages to choose from starting from a simple heartbeat check for an anxious mama to a three-scan package! Our rates vary depending on your selection. Our most economical 3D package starts at $100. The Peek A Boo Baby Studio can also be used as a gender reveal space and a baby shower space (3 hour rental). A fun extra that we offer is a heartbeat buddy which is a stuffed animal of your choosing that will have a recording of your baby’s heartbeat inside! Give your fluffy teddy a squeeze and hear your baby’s heartbeat!

What sets my studio apart from the others around is that I usually see about 20 or so clients a month, versus 200+, which allows me to really make each experience personalized. I am the owner, scanner and editor so I put everything I have into my business and you know that you will get the best effort in every scan! The 3D imaging technology that we have also allows me to edit out unwanted items in the photo (ie: cord or placenta in front of the baby’s face).

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?

Referrals! It seems as though all of my clients are a big web of family, relatives and social media acquaintances. It is so fun hearing a new client come in and say that Peek A Boo Baby was recommended by another client that I had previously! In fact, that makes me feel so incredible that people are having such a great experience that they tell their expecting friends and family to come in and see me as well! Google reviews will show that I have a perfect 5 star rating and I truly believe that is because of my determination in getting that perfect image- even if that requires me doing a funny dance along with my client to help move the baby into a better position!

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?

As a new business owner I was quite nervous to see if I would be successful. However, I knew this was something that I wanted to try- whether it worked or not! There have been amazing months and not so amazing months, but then I have the most amazing clients that show such gratitude for what I was able to give them and it makes me keep pushing forward! The best thing is, I truly truly truly enjoy what I do so every single time I have a client that I am scanning it doesn’t feel like work. I get to see the parents absolutely light up when they see their baby and that makes me light up as well! Imagine your job making you happier and more positive…there is no better feeling than watching my clients smile and laugh and have such a great time!
