Lindsey, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
I was working at a Real Estate Coaching company on the marketing team there. A lot of my coworkers had started their own side hustles doing graphic design, coaching sports teams, etc. They all really encouraged me to find something I enjoy doing and start doing it as a side business to make some extra money. I began looking for small businesses that needed social media help and spreading the word and ironically found that a lot of realtors needed help! I started working with one agent out of Texas originally, then slowly took on more clients and grew. I did take some clients that weren’t in real estate to start, but I quickly found a social strategy that worked well for real estate agents so I began seeking out realtors. From working at the real estate coaching company, I had a lot of knowledge about the real estate industry, how realtors become successful, and how to market realtors. It was really the perfect blend of knowledge from that role and my combined marketing experience from jobs prior that really allowed me to better service realtors. I originally started my business with no intention to grow it into a full time job, but as we kept growing, I became super passionate about it and wanted to not only help realtors across the US, but also provide a flexible working environment for marketers.

LUXELY helps real estate agents excel at their social media and increase their marketing. We help agents elevate their listings, position themselves as a local expert, and get more visibility through building a connection on social media. It’s really fun because I get to do the things I love while helping others be successful and shine on social.
We are known for being highly personalized for each client. A lot of real estate marketing agencies offer templates or the same graphics for agents across the board. At LUXELY, we create personalized content and plans for every agent and team that we work with. We provide them with hyper localized content, a planned strategy, and a powerhouse team that cranks out content! We also encourage our agents to get behind the camera and show off their personality!
How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
We work hand in hand with clients daily. One thing that truly sets us apart is that we are in constant communication with our clients. We want their social media platforms to be extremely personalized and hyper-local, therefore we are only an email or message away. We regularly ask them for content as well as work closely with them on new listings. We strive to provide stellar communication and timely responses since we know realtors are always on the go!

Can you talk to us about how you funded your business?
I started LUXELY with $0. I didn’t have money set aside for it or anything, since I wasn’t planning on it becoming a full time gig. When I decided to go from freelancing to creating an LLC, I used some money from my full time job to cover the fees for setting up the business, all the documents, etc.
