We recently connected with Lindsay Rose and have shared our conversation below.
Lindsay, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Looking back on your career, have you ever worked with a great leader or boss? We’d love to hear about the experience and what you think made them such a great leader.
Truly, best boss. I must reiterrate best Mentor I had was Jake Salazar. He was my mentor, taught me everything I needed to know about film, tv, & music. Taught me to become partners of corporations, im too valuable you can’t afford me mentality! I initially got offered to be a talkshow host. On a tv network as I was there I began coming up with solutions for the network. I accidentially became chief operating officer. After he offered me this true story, I went into the bathroom and googled what are my duties now? What did I need to know? I later told him this he said keep doing exactly what you are doing Later I became COO of Spotetv. There were a few other people apart of our network asking why Lindsay as COO? He replied: she has bigger balls than any of you! Such a great compliment! He said noone would anticipate my knowledge & I was a tripple threat.
So, I took it as well. I suppose this is a compliment.
He brought the question to me said Lindsay if you had an option to be talent? & get your 5 minutes of fame. Your talkshow, Or be an executive? & Respected for years to come. Which would you chose? I replied, are you kidding me? I’ll do both. He said it’s not impossible. but near impossible especially since my background was not in the industry…Anyhow, I embarked on years of learning. From 7am till often 3am. At the production studios or Denny’s. Asking a man of 45 plus years of experience questions non stop, pen and paper in hand. He would say you know you are smart, but you aren’t an entertainment attorney. How will you continue on this path? I said easy I’ll surround myself around entertainment attorney’s. I have the utmost respect for Mr. Salazar. He helped create the genre motown, amongst write many laws entertainment related. Produced a myriad of artists, films, shows, placed many executives in their positions at ABC, CBS, etc..It didnt matter the time he would answer his phone. The questions were always answered in a legal way.. He was my friend, mentor and I was his protege.. Jake was sculpting me. To go head to head with the ” majors” as he calls it. Now here we are a few years down the road I’m now partner of a technology company Omniluxvr, partner of a tv network Hoo Nation, & partner of a media company. Called Media Entertainment Group. & partner of a record label.
I attribute my future success to Mr. Salazar teaching me for years about distribution behind, tv, film, and music and how to create Sponsorship teams, just goodness, I’m now booking musicians, into virtual reality, streaming tv shows into vr, creating concerts for causes all A-Z. Giving people distribution for products,
Im co founder of Omniluxvr where we are gamifying life..

I have been on this project for years, building strategizing and implementing new ways for artists to stay being creative. Putting the money back in their pockets.

You see Jake intimidated many people. to me he was my buddy Jake he was famous before, funny story’ I had flown into San Antonio, Texas to meet him & his teams, we all go to dinner people were waving, I waved back.. like for sure noone knew me..oftentimes people would wave to him and I would wave back. I had no idea motown was a genre..in our meeting he said he created it with Barry Gordy. I go oh ya the california raisins song:( So anyhow, my sheer non fan stance worked for me in the industry
Not knowing of Toto kissing rain in Africa or Journey, Foreigner people. .. Etc..his glory days he would talk about when he toured. I was like oh cool tell me how did the tour work? How long were you gone, who financed this? Did you get to pick what other bands toured with you? Etc. anyhow. Hindsight people would get in line waiting to meet him. Me, just oh heya it’s my buddy Jake. We had donuts at Princes in LA Our teams during trips to Burbank, California to visit studios, Las Palamas Studios, Warner Brothers, & Live Nation etc. Things became really real.
I still never became a fan no no I valued and respected Jake farr too much to be a fan…
I became a sponge absorbing information on all things, became interested in the Executive Side. I’m talent as well. An actress, Producer, Singer, Song writer. He brought soo much out of me. Forever I will give him the credit..actually, God guided me towards all of this..
My job is to bring Light to Hollywood..
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I was in LA I had flown there to do a tv show, Called The American Family Makeover. Where I gave families a hand up not out, I went with a carry on. If you know me you know im a girlie girl..I . anticipated I’d be there the weekend. Oh no! As I was there gotten offered movies, and 5 music videos, I changed my flight so many times I then shipped my car 6 months later to LA. I got offered to help put a slate of films together Motivational, inspirational, & transformational, it was a total of 14 films thru Dirt Merchant Films, / Minditorium on accident, I gotten cast for a few movies someone almost hit me crossing the street In Santa Monica it was a film producer, I later met with and said yes to the project, I began documenting my random encounters all executives from Paramount, Sony, Warner Brothers, my neighbor was an agent for CAA, my neighbor across from him was a tennis coach, always asking to teach me. Found out he was also Sir. Richard Bransons tennis coach, then I got offered to Sir Richards Film premiere We are Eatting our way to Exstinction, So a friend of mine knew that I came from a background of interviewing, and asked if I’d go to Calabasas to film an international news confrence. I said sure! Ended up being a royal Sir. Dolapo, best friends with Sir Richard Branson. Pictures inside his mansion of them together! I kept writing on my facebook these crazy insane opportunities. I got the attention of Hollywood they metaphorically and physically speaking came knocking on my door.. My friend Carla Silvio asked if id speak at The Hollywood Hills representing women in film and what it meant to me. I of course said yes, during covid like how many people are really going to show up? THOUSANDS…I ended up representing a filmmaker from India, The Swamani family.. Zero prepared all the women were women of status, & lil me!
I’m a brain cancer survivor with a zest for life and I appreciate life to the fullest! Every light became to be green light for me….Hollywood opened it’s doors to me…..I said yes, to projects I knew nothing about then learned, and I became a resource for many..
We’d love to hear your thoughts on NFTs. (Note: this is for education/entertainment purposes only, readers should not construe this as advice)
NFT’s are the next new IP. The artist gets to own and allows functionality for concerts, allowing for it’s fan base to have a piece of a moment. That goes up in value,
Think of baseball cards, these are the new baseball cards,
