Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Linda Vincent. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Linda, thanks for joining us today. Almost every entrepreneur we know has considered donating a portion of their revenue to an organization or cause. How did you make the decision of whether to donate? We’d love to hear the backstory if you’re open to sharing the details.
Some of the fondest memories of my childhood came from the people who were so generous to my family in our time of need. Connecting with these individuals encouraged me to want to give back when I reached a point in my life where I was comfortable enough to do so.
I have a passion for helping others in my community achieve entrepreneurial success. For every closed real estate transaction or paid speaking gig, I donate a percentage to support black female entrepreneurs. I do so by either sponsoring their events or donating directly to their non-profit organizations.

Linda, I love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I became a realtor because I spent most of my teen life homeless. When I was in high school our home was foreclosed on because my mom lost her job and could no longer afford to make the monthly payments. What my mother did not know was that she could have sold her home prior to it being foreclosed on. Learning this information encouraged me to find out more about this real estate. The experience with foreclosure was distressing, but at the same time I fell in love with real estate and the educational aspect of it. Now, I love educating clients about the benefits of homeownership and showing them how attainable becoming a homeowner really is.
One of the things that I believe sets me apart from other industry professionals is that I am also a certified life coach. I am able to use my background in speaking and coaching to help me to understand each client on an individual basis. I like to call myself “the relationship building expert”. I use what I learn to meet their specific needs, therefore increasing their level of satisfaction. Real estate to me is all about serving people and building a long-lasting relationship with them. My business is not a transaction-based business, but it is a service-based business, therefore, my goal is to always serve my clients to the best of my abilities. Purchasing a home is a major life event, and it is important that the client is informed and happy with the homebuying process.
I want people to know that the core values of my business are centered around kindness. I am always looking for ways to show love through my interactions with clients. It is important to me to communicate openly and go the extra mile for every client. I am proud of the way I serve my community and make my clients feel.
I am always striving to be kind and considerate.

Are there any books, videos, essays, or other resources that have significantly impacted your management and entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy?
A book that has significantly impacted my entrepreneurial thinking is called Atomic Habits by James Clear. This book explains how making tiny changes in our lives will give us “remarkable” results. Clear provides a strong framework for making incremental changes in our lives that will lead to positive outcomes. I found this approach to be extremely effective in creating and reinforcing good habits while breaking bad ones. As entrepreneurs, we must develop a great deal of discipline to be successful. This book is an excellent tool for entrepreneurs looking to think differently and ultimately structure their lives and businesses to take on major change.
How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
I use my CRM (Customer relationship management system) to help me keep in touch with all my clients. My experience taught me how effective a CRM can be for identifying and prioritizing client communications.
It also gave me fundamental skills needed to use CRM platforms effectively. My CRM has truly been a lifesaver and has also helped me to remain connected with each and every one of my clients on a more personal basis. I believe that a major component of brand loyalty is consistent communication, and I always try to communicate to my clients how grateful I am for their support.
