About me:
My journey into the marketing world started with a Bachelor’s in Advertising with a minor in Public Relations back in 2011. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of working with major national and global companies like FleishmanHillard, TMF Group, City National Bank of Florida, and more. Alongside my professional endeavors, I’m also pursuing a Masters in Storytelling, which has greatly enriched my understanding of crafting compelling narratives.
One of the most transformative experiences in my life has been having the opportunity to join a company that doesn’t impose a culture and thought pattern in its employees. At Nobleer, our personal stories deeply influence our approach to work and shape the ethos of our agency. In my case, as a single mom to a vibrant four-year-old boy, I’ve learned firsthand the profound lessons of resilience, adaptability, and empathy. Parenthood has honed my skills in communication, creativity, negotiation, and problem-solving, all of which I seamlessly integrate into my role as the Director of Marketing Operations.
Balancing the demands of parenthood with a thriving career has instilled in me a deep sense of prioritization and time management. As someone constantly learning and practicing to better serve my team, I’ve found several elements to be effective in managing a team and maintaining high morale. These are ongoing lessons I’ve gleaned from my experiences, observations, and continuous efforts to refine my leadership approach. While I’m far from perfect, I’ve seen the positive impact these strategies can have on fostering a productive and positive work environment.
Communicate openly and transparently. Effective communication is key to building trust and cohesion within a team. It’s easier said than done but encouraging an open-door policy where team members feel comfortable sharing their thoughts, concerns, and ideas really makes a difference.
Provide clear expectations and goals. Set clear expectations and goals for your team members, and ensure they understand their roles and responsibilities. Yes, these may change over time but clearly communicating the expectations helps team members stay focused, knowing what they’re working towards and how their job contributes to the bigger picture.
Recognize and appreciate achievements, it doesn’t matter how small. Acknowledge and celebrate the achievements and milestones of your team members. Whether it’s a project milestone, a job well done, or a personal accomplishment, recognition fosters a sense of appreciation and motivates team members to continue performing at their best.
