Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Linda Henderson . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Linda thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Can you talk to us about how you learned to do what you do?
Being Creative. Thing inside and outside of the box. I wish I learned early on that EVERYTHING is content. It doesn’t matter what it is. There’s and audience for everything. Again, being as creative as possible makes a huge difference.
Managing work/ life is one obstacle that has slowed down on the production of new and original content. You have to be consistent, to keep up with the demand of your audience.
Linda , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My favorite part of this interview. Getting to know me personally. I started out just posting random content of my children. It started with fashion. Having photo shoot for any occasion and posting to social media. I gained follower from big brands like Hibbett, Nike and Never Broke Again. That eventually turned into like and shares of my videos and pictures to invites to participate in photo shoots with those same brands for my children. So, we went from jus posting and manifesting our dreams to actually living that dream and getting paid to model for them. I’m most proud of the opportunity I was able to establish for my children and their future. We have been invited to auditions for modeling and acting. Also, meet and greets with other big named content creators as well.
Can you talk to us about how your funded your business?
Good question. We all have to start somewhere. Funding your dreams cost money honey. I’ve learned need over want is key to being successful in funding your business or anything you wish to build from the ground. I would save small amounts from my 9-5 income to purchase things needed.(Ring lights, cameras, editing software, props etc.) Once the content stated rolling, followers started to engage and the views started rising, eventually those social platforms I was posting to started to pay me to create more original content that too is used to upgrade and equipment needed to continue to be effective in creating new content.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
Being offered new opportunities to collaborate with other creatives has been the most rewarding. Also knowing I can brighten someone’s day with a good laugh or teach someone something they never knew. It’s a humbling feeling for a stranger to reach out to you just to tell you they enjoy your content.
