We recently connected with Lincoln Jesser and have shared our conversation below.
Lincoln, appreciate you joining us today. Are you happy as a creative professional? Do you sometimes wonder what it would be like to work for someone else?
I’m extremely fulfilled when I put my energy into creation- disregarding any external pressure or material motivations and diving into the ocean of our collective consciousness to bring back a crystal of truth or good feeling. There are times when I’ve thought the structure of a “regular” job would be appealing, and I think there are other occupations I could enjoy – but when you are an artist, you have an unremovable impulse to dream your ideas into being.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I’m an electronic/house music producer and DJ living near Venice, CA. I’ve been writing songs since I was a young teen growing up in the Coachella Valley where I was in bands, before becoming involved in electronic music and production as I was graduating high school. From there, I moved to LA without much concept of what being in the “music business” really meant, but have been fortunate enough to meet incredible friends along the way who have become my collaborators and members of my team. On the journey, I’ve been blessed to have my music in major films and tv shows, to garner hundreds of millions of streams on my songs, and to tour internationally, performing at festivals like Lollapalooza and on late night shows like Jimmy Kimmel.
The energy I bring to my music is a synthesis of the high-vibe dance music scene of which I’ve been blessed to be a part of since moving to LA in 2010 along with mystical, serene energy from my upbringing in the desert along with my evolving work as a sound healer and meditator.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
My overriding mission is to bring people together and elevate our collective consciousness through the power of sound. I believe joy is at the heart of spirituality, and that music is one of the most powerful ancient technologies with which to access that place of Oneness that permeates all of us as well as the world around us.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
Getting messages from fans of my work saying that my art has inspired them to explore their own creativity or to help them in their healing and evolutionary processes will never get old.
Also, getting to rip it up at incredible clubs and parties is a high unlike anything else!🙏❤️🔥 my fans are all such cool people, I’m incredibly honored to hear that the music I make resonates with them.
