Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Lina Alattar. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Lina, thanks for joining us today. Can you share a story about the kindest thing someone has done for you and why it mattered so much or was so meaningful to you?
One of my closest collector and friend has always always been a champion of my work by spreading the word out to her friends and colleagues, which has supported me in so many ways. We all need people that have your back no matter what.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I have been in the creative field my whole life. I’v worked as a creative director, illustrator, designer and a painter. I see myself as a visual communicator, a role that adapts to a multitude of creative disciplines.
For the last few years, I have achieved great success as an abstract painter. Connecting with collectors who resonate with my work and share the same intrinsic values has been the most rewarding for me. Sharing my creative journey via an artwork with a remarkable audience is humbling and gratifying. Wether it’s at a collector’s home, office, or a public building, I take great joy in knowing that each artwork is a visual communication of joy, openness, and surrender.
In your view, what can society to do to best support artists, creatives and a thriving creative ecosystem?
I love to see a societies that champion artists and creatives by being curious of the work they do. Engaging in meaningful conversations that foster connections, growth and transformations are key. It creates harmony and flexibility in thinking and being. This harmonious and open dialogue within our communities not only enhances social cohesion but also promotes a healthy mindset and adaptive thinking. So as people support artists, the arts supports them, and the greater society.
of course, acquiring artwork is another way that supports artists. Establishing an art collection is a beautiful way to be engaged and supportive.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
Being an artist gives me a unique perspective on the world. It’s deeply rewarding as it infuses my life with beauty, meaning and purpose.
The act of creating, whether through painting, design, or other mediums, allows me to explore and express my thoughts and observations. It’s a way of processing and connecting with the world. This unique form of expression not only provides me with a sense of fulfillment but also allows me to contribute to the broader cultural tapestry.
