We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Lily Goodwin. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Lily below.
Alright, Lily thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
DJ Lily Jade does what she does because she loves bringing joy, energy, and inspiration to people of all ages, especially kids. Through music, interviews, and storytelling, she creates a platform where young voices are heard, dreams are celebrated, and anything feels possible.
Whether she’s spinning on the radio, hosting live events, or interviewing celebrities, her mission is to uplift her community, represent her generation, and prove that age doesn’t limit greatness. Every beat, every word, every smile she shares is powered by purpose, passion, and pure heart.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
DJ Lily Jade (Lily Goodwin) is a vibrant 11-year-old DJ, author, and media personality, honored as a Forbes 30 Under 30 Cleveland Honoree. Known for her high-energy mixes of Top 40, Old School Hip Hop, R&B, and viral TikTok hits, she began her journey in 2020 to bond with her DJ father. Since then, she has taken the stage at major events including the Democratic National Convention, NBA All-Star, NFL Draft, Cleveland Cavaliers Pre-Game show, and more.
In 2021, Lily self-published her debut book, From the Booth, promoting youth empowerment. Her community outreach includes leading an Annual Sock Drive for the unhoused. Every Saturday on 95.9FM WOVU Cleveland, she hosts interviews with top names like Dawn Staley, Caitlin Clark, Denzel Ward, Holly Rowe, Caroline A. Wanga, and more. She has also served as a Cleveland Cavaliers Kid Club Jr. Reporter and is a proud Brand Ambassador for the Cleveland Public Library.
Lily is the co-host of the TV show More Childhood, Please™, and her achievements have earned her the Helping Hands Award from the ADAMS Board and the 2024 Kidpreneur of the Year honor from the Pink and Black Honors. When not DJing or broadcasting, Lily enjoys recording music, playing bassoon & piano, exploring Roblox, eating pepperoni pizza, and inspiring her little sister, Lena Jewell. She credits her success to the love and support of her family and friends.

How did you build your audience on social media?
During the Covid 19 pandemic Lily and her dad started hosting Facebook live DJ Battles… folks loved it and she kept doing it.
