We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Liliya Eltantseva a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Liliya thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. One of the toughest parts of scaling a business is maintaining quality as you grow. How have you managed to maintain quality? Any stories or advice?
Quality over quantity- my clients deserve the best and I only use the best for them.
Permanent makeup is an art form which requires artists to practice every day in order to perfect their skills. It’s about setting realistic goals and making a commitment in order to experience professional growth and master this art.
The permanent makeup services I offer are very specialized. Extensive training and experience are required to perform them correctly and efficiently, and I take that very seriously. To ensure the best results for my clients. I refuse to use anything but the best quality, time tested products and 100% disposable tools, materials and FDA- Approved hypo-allergenic pigments.
Each procedure is operated only at the highest standards in cleanliness, health, and best practices. “LE Permanent Cosmetics” have been approved for safe operation by the Florida Health Department for Public Health, completed proper training in blood-borne pathogens, hold permanent cosmetic insurance, and are in compliance with all zoning regulations and health ordinances.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
Hello. My name is Liliya and I am the owner and founder of “LE Permanent Cosmetics”. I’m a multi- certified and award – winning artist in permanent makeup and microblading, located in Tampa Bay, FL
I wanted the best education to become a SPMU Artist, and my training began with permanent makeup program at Beauty and Health Institute that prepared me for professional success as certified SPMU Artist, specialized in different techniques for eyebrows, lips and eyeliner, as well as paramedical tattooing of areola and scalp micro-pigmentation. I got good education for many important topics that required in the field of permanent makeup.
I further my education with a world renown beauty academy for microblading technique . I became a certified PhiBrows Artist in the Phi Academy’s World community.
I’ve been performing many procedures since my graduation to enhance the beauty of my clients. Experience and perfectionism are very important in permanent makeup services.
Art and beauty are my passion and I am constantly developing through qualifications, learning and training.
I believe that everyone has the right to feel confidently beautiful, regardless of their circumstances. Therefore, I am proud to be taking part in the “Pay with smile” service in the month of October, where you can access treatment, completely free of charge, if you have lost your natural eyebrows due to chemotherapy, alopecia or burns.
Are there any books, videos or other content that you feel have meaningfully impacted your thinking?
My mentor is Tony Robbins. He helps master every area of your life and I always recommend him. A the core of Tony Robbins’ philosophy is personal power. Each of us has everything we need to learn to access and maximize it… When you’re feeling uninspired or incapable, turn to Tony Robbins quotes.
“It is not what we get — But who we become what we contribute… that gives meaning to our lives “.
— Tony Robbins
Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
Integrity is always my business strategy to grow. Basically doing the right thing no matter what. I have seen too many pmu artists take shortcuts or use low quality or unsafe products because it’s cheaper. I’ve also seen artists perform services on clients who should not have those services done. Not everyone is a good candidate for permanent makeup. So sometimes you have to turn people away and forget the money you could have made. It’s your responsibility to protect your clients. If you want to keep clients, they need to trust you. They need to know you’re not lying or talking shortcuts to save time or make a quick income. You don’t have to be “the best”, but you should at least be honest. That’s how you get clients for life and how you can go to sleep at night knowing, you did the right thing.
