We were lucky to catch up with Liliana Morris recently and have shared our conversation below.
Liliana, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We love heartwarming stories – do you have a heartwarming story from your career to share?
Hey there! I’m Liliana. I have always had a great passion for pregnancy and birth. In fact, one of my biggest motives to continue serving more people specially pregnant women was a testimony from a pregnant woman who was diagnosed with placenta previa, which led her to a high risk pregnancy. This woman was complaining about pain in her back disturbing her daily tasks, especially when trying to sleep at night. After I completed several massages on her, all of her aches’ had disappeared. Not only was this woman’s doctor startled, but he wanted to know what she did because she was no longer on a high risk pregnancy. I decided I would solely dedicate myself to serve more women, during the most vulnerable times; pregnancy and postpartum.
I also remember working with a four year old boy who had suffered trauma since he was an infant. Anytime he would hear a siren or see the lights of and ambulance or police car, he would it get very anxious and would start to cry and also took him a long while to fall asleep. The first time I worked on him it felt like “magic” as his mom described. After 5 or 10 minutes of working on this child, he would fall sleep even with a cameraman and lights recoding our sessions, later to be broadcasted on a Spanish T.V channel. Both mom and I were equally surprised as well as the camera crew who were present. His mom followed up with me through a phone call and the next day and said he had the best sleep he has ever had, just that previous night.
There have been many more stories about postpartum care, which happens to be a subject people don’t really discuss, however, it is one of my favorites to work with. Especially because mothers know how challenging those first 3 months can be. There was also a mama who came to see me two weeks after having her child and was in a lot of pain. This mom complained of having difficulty sitting straight on a chair due to her tailbone causing her extreme amounts of pain. This story was very touching as I know first hand how many moms go through this alone and keep the pain to themselves, in order to focus mainly on their babies. After working on her for a half an hour, she was finally able to lay flat on her back without having fear of not being able to move at all. These are just a few stories along with many others that have given me the reason why I love what I do.

My goal is to help you alleviate all aches, pains and discomforts during these times and beyond so you can feel better. Even though my main focus had become helping moms during all stages in life I also see the whole family, so dads, babies, kids and grandparents are welcome to get massage and body work.
A little more about me:
I am a mom of two beautiful daughters Elizabeth and Madeleine. I am married to Michael, a retired Air Force Veteran who loves us and who is passionate about old classic cars. We have 2 dogs, Marley a black lab and Minnie a miniature schnauzer who are my other babies.
I was born and raised in Bogota, Colombia and I am the youngest of eight kids. I grew up in a family who believes and practices Alternative/Holistic and Ancestral Medicine. My older sister, who is a well-known ND/Homeopath and Bioenergetic Therapist within the Hispanic community, inspired me to pursue a career in Massage Therapy; often reminding me of my gift to heal with my hands. I graduated as a Licensed Massage Therapist from Sterling Health Center in 2004 and began practicing shortly after.
I am committed to using the most effective modalities to provide focused bodywork for preventative and rehabilitative therapy. My clients range from newborns to pregnant moms and even grandmas.
I love what I do and I do what I love. I look forward to be able put a smile back on those who come with aches and poor mobility. My intuition, experience, knowledge and passion for what I do, enables me to help many people.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
My practice as well as myself are specially recognized for the love, care, compassion, patience, experience, knowledge and education when working with each client. My clientele ranges from infants to pregnant women, to grandmas and even their husbands.
What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
The most effective strategy for growing our clientele is to listen, pay attention and make sure to relive tension and pain in which clients come in complaining.
