We were lucky to catch up with LiL Mike & Funny Bone Aka MIKE BONE recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, LiL Mike & Funny Bone thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Taking care of customers isn’t just good business – it is often one of the main reasons folks went into business in the first place. So, we’d love to get a conversation going around how to best help clients feel appreciated – maybe you can share something you’ve done or seen someone do that’s been really effective at helping a customer feel valued?
One of the things we like to do to show fans we appreciate them is we provide them with an autographed flyer sized business card. This way nobody goes home empty handed. Also, if we’re not obligated to be anywhere else, we’ll stick around to take pictures. Our fans are usually overwhelmed & shocked that we’re so friendly & down-to-earth.

LiL Mike got his start in poetry, as court ordered therapy, Funny Bone joined in as the hype man 5 years later. Together known as “MIKE BONE” Native American HipHop duo, born & raised in Oklahoma City, “MIKE & BONE” are Independent Recording Artists, Dancers, Actors, & Motivational Speakers as seen on Reservation Dogs & more! We’ve dedicated our lives to entertaining & inspiring, thru music and performance. With over 15 albums now streaming, our positive music has helped people overcome depression & follow their dreams, as well as raise awareness for important issues.
Our first major TV appearance was an unforgettable performance on America’s Got Talent. From a small home studio, to world stardom, some would say we’ve become Indigenosus Hip Hop legends. It hasn’t been easy getting to that point. From homelessness, to gang violence, to discrimination, all the while maintaining our faith in GOD.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
Aside from our versatile sound, our business was built on our unique image. Both around 4’8″ we standout from the rest. And our performance is guaranteed to get the crowd hype.
Have you ever had to pivot?
A major pivoting point in our career started in 2020, when covid shutdown all our tour dates we needed another form of income. The only thing available in the entertainment industry was acting. The casting call for Reservation Dogs came, so we auditioned & the rest is history.
