Lifestyle , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to go back in time and hear the story of how you came up with the name of your brand?
Years ago we were already saying that if something wasn’t cool that it wasn’t part of the lifestyle or if it was cool that it was part of the lifestyle. So we definitely wanted to use lifestyle in the name. We also wanted a name that would include everyone. International includes everyone and everyone lives a lifestyle whatever that lifestyle is. Lifestyle International fits us as we include everyone from the youngest to the oldest no matter where you are from in the world or what type of lifestyle you live.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Lifestyle International was founded in 2014 by Jerome Green, Britte Robinson, Recardo Tucker, and Gerald Canty. We started out as a music production company and that same year, we printed tees with our original logo on them and wore them on stage at a performance in North Carolina. After posting photos and others posting photos of us on social media, the demand was so high that we decided to create our own website to meet the demand and we have been growing ever since. What sets us apart from others is that we are an active and travel wear brand for all walks of life and all ages. We’ve expanded the brand into customization where we design one of one pieces with customer provided clothing bearing the brand. We also offer reunion tees and uniforms for other businesses as well. We are most proud of our brand’s success in reaching such a diverse support base ranging from newborns to senior citizens all over the world.
We’d love to hear your thoughts about selling platforms like Amazon/Etsy vs selling on your own site.
We sell our exclusive pieces on our website lifestyleinternational.net. We also do a lot of events and pop up shops as well to sell our exclusive pieces. We chose to sell our brand’s products on our own website because it gives our supporters a single place where they can shop with us, get updates about us, and follow us. Some pros to having our own website is we can manage all of our content and releases. We manger our own site with updates of events, new releases, and website maintenance, which makes it easy to manage our business and is cost efficient. We really don’t have any cons to running everything ourselves. We love it!
Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
Our best source of new clients would be our events and pop up shops that we do. We get a lot of new supporters from being out and keeping our brand in front of plenty of people.
