We were lucky to catch up with Lidia Napoli recently and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, Lidia thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. It’s always helpful to hear about times when someone’s had to take a risk – how did they think through the decision, why did they take the risk, and what ended up happening. We’d love to hear about a risk you’ve taken.

The biggest risk I’ve ever taken was to choose a life as an artist. It is a great life, but at the same time, a tough one, with many challenges to overcome and many ups and downs. I can say it is worth it, although the struggles, and if I could go back, I would do it again without any kind of doubt.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

I’m an actress with many credits in television and film. I’ve directed three short movies and I’m also a published author. I tell stories for a living and I love it.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?

I can create stories from different kind of views. As an actress, I create a character but when I write I can create the whole story and that’s very fulfilling. I’m learning more and more during this amazing journey.

Yes, I never gave up, not even for a moment, and after almost 20 years I’m still here, because I love too much what I do.
