We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Lidia Loporto. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Lidia below.
Lidia, appreciate you joining us today. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
Well, SocialTini was born out of a mix of passion, experience, and an unexpected life pivot. I’ve always been immersed in the world of small businesses—growing up in a family of entrepreneurs, I saw firsthand the dedication and creativity it takes to build something from the ground up. That experience, combined with my deep love for marketing, naturally led me into a career where I could help businesses tell their stories and grow their brands through social media.
For years, I worked with Fortune 500 and Inc. 5000 companies, gaining invaluable experience in social media strategy, branding, and content creation. I loved what I was doing, but I was always drawn to the idea of having something of my own. Then, life threw me an unexpected curveball—I was laid off. It was one of those moments where everything felt uncertain, but instead of seeing it as an end, I saw it as an opportunity.
I knew the power of social media and how essential it was for businesses, especially small to medium-sized ones that often struggled with visibility and engagement. Many business owners knew they needed social media but didn’t have the time, strategy, or expertise to execute it effectively. That’s where SocialTini came in—blending my expertise with a hands-on, personalized approach to help brands create content that not only looks great but performs.
What got me most excited was the chance to do things differently. A lot of agencies try to do everything, but I wanted to niche my company to be great at one thing—social media—focusing specifically on strategy and content. Instead of spreading ourselves thin, SocialTini is dedicated to delivering high-quality, data-driven social media strategies and compelling content that actually moves the needle. I wanted SocialTini to be known not just as another marketing agency but as the go-to partner for businesses looking to elevate their social media presence with a clear, strategic approach.
Starting this business was a leap of faith, but I knew it would work because the demand was there. Businesses were craving a marketing partner who understood both the creative and strategic side of social media, and I was ready to deliver. Looking back, being laid off was the push I needed to take that leap, and I’m so grateful I did.
Now, SocialTini is growing, and I get to work with incredible clients, helping them amplify their social media in a way that feels authentic, strategic, and fun.
Lidia, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Sure.. well Hi I’m Lidia, the founder of SocialTini, a social media agency dedicated to helping businesses turn their online presence into a powerful marketing tool. My journey into the industry wasn’t a straight path—it was shaped by my upbringing, corporate experience, and an unexpected career shift that pushed me to build something of my own.
Growing up in a family of entrepreneurs, I witnessed firsthand the dedication, resilience, and creativity it takes to run a successful business. I was always fascinated by the way businesses connected with their customers, and as social media evolved, I saw it become a game-changer for brands of all sizes. My passion for marketing led me into my career of marketing for cybersecurity companies, where I honed my skills in social media strategy, content creation, and branding. I loved the work, but I always felt a pull toward something more personal—something that allowed me to have a direct impact on businesses and their growth.
Then, life handed me an unexpected push—I was laid off. Instead of seeing it as a setback, I took it as an opportunity to finally build what I had been dreaming about for years. That’s how SocialTini was born. I wanted to create a company that specialized in what I knew best—social media strategy and content creation—and provide businesses with the expertise and guidance they needed to stand out online.
At SocialTini, we focus on helping businesses maximize their social media presence in a way that is both strategic and creative. Our services include:
– Social Media Strategy: We don’t just post content; we create a data-driven roadmap for growth, engagement, and conversions.
– Content Creation: From eye-catching graphics to compelling captions and video content, we ensure brands tell their stories in an authentic and engaging way.
– Social Media Management: We handle the day-to-day execution, so businesses can focus on what they do best.
– Consulting & Training: For businesses that want to improve their social media in-house, we provide expert guidance and training.
The biggest problem we solve for our clients is lack of strategy, consistency to post, and content creation management—many businesses struggle with social media because they don’t have the time, or resources to use it effectively. We step in as their trusted social media partner, ensuring they have a clear plan, engaging content, and a presence that attracts and converts their ideal audience.
What I Want You to Know About SocialTini:
– We’re here to help businesses cut through the noise on social media and create a real impact.
– We believe in strategy first—content is important, but without a plan, it won’t drive results.
– We take a hands-on, collaborative approach to ensure our clients feel supported every step of the way.
– We’re passionate about making social media work for businesses, not just adding to the noise.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
When I started SocialTini, I knew that having a strong social media presence was non-negotiable—not just for my clients, but for myself. After all, if I was going to help businesses grow their social media, I needed to lead by example. But let me tell you, it didn’t happen overnight.
A lot of people assume that social media success is just about posting pretty content and hoping it takes off. The truth? It takes strategy, consistency, and a clear purpose behind every piece of content you create. From day one, I built my content around a framework I call Growth, Nurture, and Sales:
– Growth Content – This is designed to attract new people to my page. It includes trending topics, high-value tips, and engaging content that gets shared.
– Nurture Content – Once people find me, I want them to stick around. This is where I share insights, behind-the-scenes moments, and educational content to build trust.
– Sales Content – You can’t be afraid to sell, but it has to be done right. Instead of pushing products or services constantly, I focus on showcasing the value of what I do and how I can help businesses grow.
I also believe one of the most important aspects of building a social media presence is giving your brand a personal touch. No matter what industry you’re in, people connect with people—which is why I make sure to show up on my page as me. I share my story, my experiences, and my face because it helps create a sense of community rather than just another business account. When people feel like they know you, they’re more likely to trust you and engage with your brand.
If you’re looking to grow on social media, my biggest advice is to be consistent. You don’t have to post every day, but you do need a regular schedule so your audience knows what to expect.
Have a strategy, don’t just post for the sake of posting. Make sure your content aligns with your business goals and serves a purpose, whether that’s attracting, nurturing, or converting your audience.
And please, show your face & build a community! Social media is about connection. Whether it’s through video, behind-the-scenes stories, or personal insights, let your audience see the person behind the brand.
Remember, growing your presence takes time and intention. But with the right strategy and consistency, the results will come. Whether you’re just starting or scaling, social media isn’t just about numbers—it’s about creating meaningful connections that turn into loyal followers and customers.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
When I was laid off, it wasn’t just an inconvenient moment in my career—it happened right in the middle of planning my wedding. Suddenly, I found myself at a crossroads: do I scramble to find another job, or do I take this as a sign to finally try something on my own?
I had spent years working in social media marketing, helping businesses grow their online presence, build brand awareness, and generate revenue. And in that moment, I thought to myself: If I can make money for a company, why not try doing it for myself? I didn’t have a lot to lose at the time, and I was fortunate to have the support of my family. But deep down, I knew that I didn’t just want to lean on that support, I wanted to prove to myself that I could do this on my own.
That’s how SocialTini was born.
The decision to start my own business wasn’t easy. Entrepreneurship is hard. Harder than I even anticipated. There are moments when I feel like an imposter, questioning whether I really have what it takes. There are times when I feel paralyzed by the fear of failing. But I’ve learned that you don’t know what you’re capable of until you push yourself to do it.
Some days, the fear still creeps in. But the difference now is that I don’t let it stop me—I use it as fuel. I remind myself that I took a risk, I bet on myself, and I’ve already come farther than I ever imagined. Every challenge, every setback, and every doubt has only made me stronger and more determined to build something meaningful.
Since going out on my own, I’ve learned that the hardest moments often lead to the biggest breakthroughs. Being laid off felt like a setback at first, but in reality, it was the push I needed to take control of my future. Looking back, it honestly felt like God was guiding me toward this decision. I’ve also realized that fear and self-doubt are normal—but they don’t have to define you. Imposter syndrome happens to everyone, but the key is to keep moving forward, even when uncertainty creeps in. Most importantly, I’ve learned that you have to test yourself to truly understand what you’re capable of. If you never take the leap, you’ll never know how far you can go.
Starting SocialTini was one of the scariest yet most rewarding decisions of my life. It’s a journey that challenges me every day, but it’s also shown me just how strong, capable, and resilient I truly am. And if my story can inspire even one person to take that leap for themselves, then every challenge along the way has been worth it.
