The ideal time to start a business varies for each individual and depends on various factors such as personal circumstances, career goals, financial stability, and market conditions. Some people may choose to start their business early in life, while others may wait until they have gained more experience or resources. Now looking back I don’t wish that I started my business sooner, I wasn’t seasoned enough to take on such responsibility. I have tried doing so many jobs starting off as a real estate agent, then working for NY Life as an insurance agent and then transitioning to become a stylist for celebrities and top executives. I have established a strong work ethic, combined with an amazing network of individuals who helped me get to where I am today. Becoming a PR executive took many years of positioning myself as an authority and credible professional in my industry.

Starting a business sooner can have its advantages. It allows for more time to learn from potential failures and adapt to market changes. Additionally, starting early provides an opportunity to build a strong foundation and establish a reputation in the industry. On the other hand, starting a business later in life may offer the advantage of having more experience, a broader network, and financial stability. This can lead to better decision-making and potentially reduce the risks associated with entrepreneurship.

Looking back, individuals may have different perspectives on whether they should have started their business sooner, later, or at the same time. Since I can remember, I always dreamed of becoming a journalist and a publicist. I had always dreamed of attending college and pursuing my passion for writing and communication. However, life had a different plan for me. In my early twenties, I found myself going through a divorce and becoming a single mother with a one-year-old. With my dreams seemingly shattered, I made the difficult decision to drop out of college to focus on raising my child.

The road ahead was filled with challenges. As a single parent, I faced the daunting task of providing for my child while also trying to rebuild my own life. The financial struggles were overwhelming, and the weight of the world seemed to be on my shoulders. But deep within me, there burned a fierce determination to never give up.

With each setback that came my way, I found the strength to rise again. I worked multiple jobs, often sacrificing sleep to ensure my child’s needs were met. Despite the exhaustion, I never lost sight of my dreams. Writing had always been my passion, my solace in times of hardship. So, during the late hours of the night, when the world was quiet, I poured my heart onto the pages of my journal.

Despite my lack of formal education, I knew I had a unique perspective to share with the world.
To my astonishment, I received an opportunity to work as a consultant for a prominent skincare line which chased my life forever. I decided to become a consultant for luxury brands while sharing my story authentically with my audience and gaining an incredible response supporting my journey.
I decided to launch my PR firm in 2017 and three years later I was invited to become a Forbes thought leader, inviting me to have my column of insights. It was a moment of validation, a testament to my resilience and unwavering determination. I had overcome the adversities of being a college dropout and a single mom, and now I had the opportunity to share my journey with a global audience.

My journey as a Forbes thought leader was not without its challenges. I faced skepticism and judgment from those who questioned my qualifications. However, I refused to let negativity deter me. Instead, I used each setback as fuel to propel myself even further.
