We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Liana Grigoryan. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Liana below.
Liana, appreciate you joining us today. Let’s jump right into how you came up with the idea?
The origin of my creative photography is a story of personal passion and determination. From a young age, I was deeply interested in the world around me. Photography became a way to freeze time and beauty I saw everywhere. Years passed, and I found myself capturing the same beauty with my camera. I realized that photography was not just a profession but my true passion to create and live the life I pictured. To my surprise, the response was positive, which was the source of my motivation. I realized I had a gift for documenting the moments and emotions using bold colors, shadows, and highlights. Also, the style and approach I used could offer something unique. My journey wasn’t easy, as a creative photographer, it has been a rollercoaster of challenges and wins.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I am a passionate photographer who specializes in fashion and fine art photography. As a fashion photographer, I collaborate with fashion magazines and brands to produce beautiful editorial spreads. I work with aspiring models, designers, and stylists, creating visually compelling portfolios that elevate their profiles within the industry. Also, I work closely with fashion brands to prepare stunning visual narratives that align with their brand identity and marketing objectives.
My fine art photography invites viewers to engage in aesthetically pleasing visual art. I enjoy the transition between fashion and fine art photography, drawing inspiration from both worlds to create unique and individual photographs. Whether it’s a fashion campaign that tells a brand’s story or a fine art piece that explores the depths of human emotion, the goal is to produce feelings and inspire gratitude for the beauty of life through imagery. I’m here to bring your creative visions to life whether in fashion or fine art.
We’d love to hear your thoughts on NFTs. (Note: this is for education/entertainment purposes only, readers should not construe this as advice
A good thing about NFTs is they provide a new way for artists to monetize their digital work directly, allowing them to retain more control and a larger share of the profits than traditional ways. Many NFTs are built on blockchain networks with energy-intensive mining processes, raising concerns about their carbon footprint and environmental impact.
The NFT market has seen big growth and saturation, making it largely competitive. Not all NFTs hold long-term value, and it can be challenging to predict which ones will succeed. I minted some of my works but never marked them for sale.
Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
The best source of new clients for a photography business can be different, but in my personal experience, word of mouth worked the best. People love to hear good things about your work, and they trust their friend’s opinions rather than checking out your website or portfolio. They want to hear that you are not only a professional photographer, but also a positive human who is easy to work with. Also, a powerful source is social media, instagram works for me better, because I use it more than other platforms. Networking events are another good one to meet new clients and other professionals who may refer clients to you.
