We, two API Besties, come from different backgrounds. We’ve witnessed and experienced health scares and mental health issues in our community, specifically within the API community. These topics were not openly discussed while we were growing up. That’s why we’re committed to shedding light on these health issues. For this podcast, we’ve invited individuals to share their stories and how they’ve overcome their struggles. Our goal for this podcast is to make the listeners feel included and let them know they are not alone.
One of the things we are most proud of is that each of our episodes addresses different types of issues, providing insights and awareness. We showcase these topics to various demographics, including people of different ages, ethnicities, socio-economic statuses, and more. These diverse topics and showcasing them make us feel accomplished.
We’d love to hear about how you met your business partner.
We first met, a while back when we were students, working as a part-timer in a retail store. At the time, after we chatted about our early twenties such as young adult issues, we felt connected and relatable to each other.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
For our Matcha Talk podcast, we build our audience on social media by reaching out to our local community through outreach. We went out to the Bay Area landmarks to advertise the shows and allow people to get to know us. Last but not least, to engage with the younger generation, we ensure to stay present in Tiktok, Instagram, and Facebook with relevant and trending content.
