Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Liam Nachawati. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Liam, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.
One of the biggest risks I’ve ever taken happened during a race weekend in Miami at AMR Homestead. What started as an ordinary race day took a sharp turn when I got injured in an off-track incident. I ended up with cuts on my forehead and lip that needed stitches, so I was rushed to the medical center. The doctors told me it would take a few hours before they could stitch me up.
At that moment, I had a decision to make: call it a day and miss my final race or push through and race anyway. Even though I was hurt and still bleeding, I couldn’t stand the thought of giving up. Racing means everything to me, so I asked if I could go back to the track and compete in my final race, planning to return for the stitches afterward.
With adrenaline rushing through me, I got back on track and started the race in second. I fought hard for first place and even held the lead for more than a lap. It was one of the most intense races I’ve ever experienced. In the end, I finished in the top 10—not exactly where I hoped to land, but given the circumstances, I was proud of the effort.
After the race, I returned to the medical center, got stitched up, and made a full recovery. Looking back, it was a risk to race in that condition, but it was worth it. That day reminded me why I love this sport so much—it’s about pushing past limits, facing challenges head-on, and never giving up, no matter what obstacles are in the way.
Liam, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Hi, my name is Liam Nachawati and I’m from Dallas, Texas. I am a professional karting driver with nearly half a decade of experience competing on tracks across the US and Europe. I’ve raced in both micro and mini categories and earned recognition as one of the top international karting drivers in the sport. Currently, when I am stateside, I race with Kart Republic and Jay Howard Driver Development, a former Indy driver. For international races, I race with Babyrace Driver Academy under the direction of former Formula drivers, Leonardo and Alesio Lorandi. My ultimate dream is to become an F1 driver, hopefully with the new Cadillac Formula 1 team to honor my grandfather’s thirty year tenure working on the line for General Motors. Every race brings me closer to that goal.
Myfamily comes from humble beginnings, as my grandfather is from Lebanon and my grandmother is from Mexico. Coming from a diverse, hardworking family, we have always been thankful for each and every opportunity this wonderful country, The USA, has provided us. When COVID-19 hit in 2020, my family, made up of mechanics and engineers, came up with karting as an activity to get outside and stay active together during a tough time. What began as a casual activity quickly turned into a passion that has shaped my life and future.
My experience as an international driver has taught me not just the technical skills required to race at a high level but also the importance of focus, resilience, and adaptability. Competing in different countries and against the best in the sport has pushed me to grow—both as a driver and as a person.
What sets me apart is my relentless determination and commitment to improvement. I approach every lap with the goal of being better than the last. I’m constantly working with my teams and coaches to refine strategies, improve performance, and learn from every experience, whether it’s a victory or a tough race.
For fans, followers, and supporters, I want my journey to be about more than just racing. I aim to inspire others to pursue their passions with the same determination and drive. Through my performances on the track and the behind-the-scenes moments I share, I want to show people what is possible when you dedicate yourself to your goals. A quote that sticks with me is “Winners are only losers who tried again.”
I’m incredibly proud of how far I’ve come and grateful for the support I’ve received along the way. Karting has become more than a sport for me—it’s my path, my passion, and the foundation for achieving my ultimate dream of racing in Formula 1. For me, karting and racing are not just careers—they are my calling.
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
One of the toughest moments in my karting journey was during a WSK Final race weekend when I fell sick. I was coughing non-stop, feeling exhausted, and barely had the energy to get through the day. It was one of the most challenging situations I’ve faced because I knew how important the race was, yet my body felt like it was working against me.
Despite feeling so unwell, I refused to give up. I took short naps during lunch breaks, stayed hydrated, and even went to the hospital for treatment and tried every remedy I could to ease the pain. Between sessions, I focused on conserving my energy and mentally preparing for each race. Once I was on the track, adrenaline took over, and I pushed as hard as I could, determined not to let my illness hold me back.
That weekend’s challenges and my corresponding resilience brought one of my best results. I finished in fifth place out of approximately fifty of the best drivers in the world in one of the largest and most prestigious karting series in the world—The World Series of Karting. That race and challenges taught me an important lesson about perseverance. Even when the odds are against you, showing up and giving your all matters. It is those moments when you push through adversity that make you stronger—both as a racer and as a leader.
How did you build your audience on social media?
Building my audience on social media has been a pretty fun ride! At first, I just posted pictures of me racing, then I realized I could do so much more. With the help of my social media team, we started using trends and checking out analytics to see what my followers liked best—and what made them laugh the most.
What makes my social media stand out is that I don’t just post pictures of me racing around a track. I make reels and videos that are funny and relatable, so when people watch them, they can’t help but crack up. Sometimes it’s behind-the-scenes moments that are too funny not to share, and sometimes I do silly challenges that make people go, “Wait, did he really just do that?” Bringing levity to stressful situations can frequently be therapeutic—after all, I am still ten years old and kids need to be kids.
I also love to get my followers involved by asking questions, doing giveaways, and reading all their comments. It’s like having a big conversation with a bunch of awesome people who love racing as much as I do—and maybe even more because they get to laugh at my goofy videos!
For anyone starting their social media journey, my advice is to have fun with it. Be yourself, try new things, and don’t be afraid to post something a little silly—it might just make someone’s day! And remember, consistency is key, but laughing along the way is even better!
