Lexxi, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today To kick things off, we’d love to hear about things you or your brand do that diverge from the industry standard
The thing that sets me apart from the other artists in my industry is that, QUALITY MATTERS. Most artists within my industry are so big on turn around time. Shortening it, getting to done as quick as possible etc. But myself? I ensure that my tumblers (Cups) are top quality.
I complete drop testing, multiple scrubs (cleaning process), scratch proof tests and other quality assurance testing to ensure that the stones on my cups DO NOT MOVE.
I also, use a higher quality glue, stones, and even cup itself to ensure longevity of the life of the tumbler. My prices may be a little higher, but the quality? Detail? and level of customization that I provide? HITS EVERY TIME. I stay true to the order, don’t deteriorate from our original plan and keep communication open thru every step of the process.
My work is my name. Remember the old saying “All a man has is his word..” Well all I have is my company, and it bears my name, so it has to speak volumes!
Lexxi, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Im LexxiCo. I’m a 28 year old solo entrepreneur. I started my Cup Customization business in March 2021 and have been on a rollll ever since. I got into my industry due to COVID. My 9-5 cut back on our hours, which gave me more time to not only focus on myself, but get out of the house more. While I was out of the house, I always had a water bottle or cup with me, but to me? They were ugly, and needed ALOT of dazzle. So? I figured, I can make my own. VIOLA LexxiCo Customs was born.
I offer custom items, specializing in Bling Tumblers (I love to make it sparkle). However, I can make anything custom! Clothing, tablecloths, rugs, door mats. Anything you want customized? I can sure do it! Just ask me. I’m set apart from my fellow cup makers because I put a lot more time, effort, and quality into my business decisions. From the materials I use, to the turn around time I provide, to the communication and vibe that I give my customers. If you ask me? I’m the best Cup Lady you can find.
I am most proud of my ability to provide quality work, and leave my customers satisfied with a smile knowing they got EXACTLY what they asked for.
Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
At the end of Quarter 4 2022, I realized that I was not meeting my sales goals as I had set them for the last two months of the quarter. I was unsure if it was due to imposter syndrome, marketing issues, lack of exposure, etc. So I decided to take a step back and do a “soft” close to revamp, redesign and realign my business with what my actual vision for the business is. I took some time to find myself as a business owner again, plan out designs, and find my niche in the cup customization business. I realized that purely accepting only custom orders was causing the misfire in the finances, so I’ve taken time to research, design and plan out several series that reference current trends.
Can you tell us the story behind how you met your business partner?
I have an AMAZING significant other, he was willing to invest, and wanted to see me win by any means necessary. He stayed by my side, did research, marketed did whatever I asked/he felt was needed to make sure that I was comfortable doing what I had a passion for. When I told him that I was ready to purchase my LLC he was more excited, and motivated than I was! When I saw how dedicated he was not only to me, but to my passion in business he got a surprise. He became co-owner of my business when I applied for my LLC, without him even knowing it. So yeah, thats how I met my business partner, he believed in me when I barely believed in myself or the business.
