We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Lexis Rose a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, Lexis thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to go back in time and hear the story of how you came up with the name of your brand?

The name of The Blooming Aesthetic Bar came from visiting my grandmother. As I think back I was always exploring new hobbies.
At a young age I found an amount of love in different crafts that allowed me to show off my creativity. Some creativity came from painting on canvases and playing in my grandmother’s makeup. I loved how I was able to express myself through artistry.

Blooming stems from constantly evolving as a person. Day by day we are endlessly creating our selves. To bloom is to be confident of your greatest beauty and freshness. It is to flourish. Aesthetic revolves around the appreciation of beauty. The Blooming Aesthetic Bar goal is to enhance the beauty of people of all genres.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

Well, my name is Lexis. I was born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I am a Licensed Esthetician, PMU Artist and Lash Artist . As a teenager I found myself really having fun playing in makeup. From creating seasonal makeup looks or even as simple as trying out bold lip colors. I enjoyed it all. With the amount of makeup purchased, there was an amount of feedback followed. With that feedback I begin investing into a freelance makeup kit and started to gain revenue for my talents. Being from Louisiana we would have many festivals, masquerade balls and much more to showcase my work.
Although I was having fun while working, I had to create discipline with my artistry and myself. Always remembering that this wasn’t just a hobby. Enhancing beauty grew into my passion, job and now it has became my career.

The services I offer are makeup application, facials treatments , eyelash extensions, hair removal (waxing), eyebrow tinting , and micro-shading. Along side all of the services listed I have a few products that can help client’s with weekly self care routine. One product in particular is an Eyelash Extension Foaming Cleanser. This cleanser is perfect for removing eye makeup and keeping lash extensions looking their best.
I also provide products such as Lash Adhesive’s for experienced lash artist who need quality products to provide the best retention for their clients.

Often times I would service some clients who struggle with enhancing their natural lashes alone or brows due to various reasons. I am able to give clients realistic options with the best of my ability. Some options are being able to create fuller and longer lashes on days where it seems like mascara just isn’t helping. Other days I have clients who have suffered from hair loss or even struggled with drawing their brows in. These clients in particular choose Microshading as their service and wake up with beautifully enhanced brows every single day.

Something that I am most proud of is reaching a long term goal of expanding to a store front and even more proud of the continuous support that I have received. I would like for my potential clients to know that our mission is
to provide phenomenal beauty services in a welcoming environment that leaves clients feeling confident. By providing personalized services to each clients unique needs and preferences.
I am dedicated to helping clients achieve their beauty goals.

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?

The best source of new clients for The Blooming Aesthetic Bar has been client referrals. Word of mouth has always been a great source for my business. When you provide great service, have great wellbeing and stay authentic to each individual customers needs as well as yourself many will market themselves and gladly reference your business.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?

A lesson I had to unlearn was understanding that I was rushing the process. Everything that I have accomplished, happened right on time. I use to want to rush things and I use to give myself a hard time because the things I wanted were not happening as fast as I thought they should. As time progressed I realized that if I would have rushed timing , a lot of it would have been misused or taken for granted. Everything will always work out in due time.
