We were lucky to catch up with Lexie Wilson recently and have shared our conversation below.

Lexie, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. If you could go back in time do you wish you had started your business sooner or later

Looking back; I definitely wish that I had started my business earlier. I’ve always been an entrepreneur at heart – by 9 years old – I had already had a candy business, a laundry business, and a “artwork” business where I sold my paintings to my family. It was clear to everyone – that I was meant to be my own boss.

However; when I was in my late twenties – I was scared to trust myself completely so instead when I did decide to start my own business, I copied what I saw others be successful at doing.

Since I had my Masters in Family Therapy, I chose the “safer” option as an Coach and marketed myself as an “Anxiety Coach”. However; I knew that deep down I wanted to provide more than just support on emotions. I wanted to help my clients increase their intuition, find their spiritual gifts, and then monetize them. I wanted to show people that they could make money using their spirituality as the tool for abundance.

Yet; because I was too afraid to come out of the “closet”, I chose the “Safer” option. Through the years though; I realized that I wasn’t happy. And it was because, being an “Anxiety Coach” was limiting me. I wasn’t able to really market the tools that I found to be the most helpful -which ultimately was my Birth Chart and Astrology readings.

In order for me to talk about my “secret tool” that helped my clients find themselves – I’d have to admit that I wasn’t just an Anxiety Coach but that I was an Astrologer. It was safe for me to trust myself and trust my OWN intuition.

So it’s no coincidence; that when I became the most successful consistently in my business – was 5 years after being an entrepreneur when I came out as an Astrologer. My business took off and has stayed successful since.

Being true to yourself and trusting your talents – is the exact road to success. So don’t waste time, trust yourself enough to be who you REALLY are and watch the magic unfold!

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

My name is Lexie Wilson and I’m a former Therapist and Social Worker turned Astrologer, Writer, Coach, and Content Creator. I’ve been working as an Entrepreneur since 2016 and it was only in 2021 – when I officially came out as an Astrologer that I found lasting business success.

Prior to that, I was still afraid to own my voice and talents. I feared being judged because I thought people wouldn’t take me seriously as an Astrologer. However; in true fashion – the Universe taught me the same lessons I’ve been called to teach my clients. Which is, be true to who you are and the success will come.

I personally believe that you were born with Universe-Given talents. These talents are the tools by which you can find your happiness, abundance, and ease. However; it is up to you to decide if you are going to actually use them.

Those talents can be found within your Astrology Birth Chart, which is a snapshot of the sky at the time of your Birth. My passion is helping people find out those talents, understand their purpose, and then turn those dreams into their reality. Clients who wish to monetize their purpose, are the people I work with the most. I help individuals make their first consistent four figure months by looking at their Birth Chart and then creating personalized books that give them a peak into their Soul calling.

I also provide 1:1 coaching calls where my clients can ask questions and receive astrological guidance.

As a writer; I also love to create books that guide my clients to learn how to master things like manifestation, overcoming negative thoughts, and finding their first clients.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?

My business is primarily run through social media. Although; I recently opened my first office here in San Diego – most people find me through my Instagram and Tiktok account. Social Media is a fascinating tool and an affordable way to get started when you first have your business.

For me; growth came from collaborating with other accounts and continuing to nurture my community. I see my Instagram “followers” as part of my very own community and so it is my job to engage with them, check on them, and support them. I do that by providing quality content that helps them laugh, be inspired, or educates them on how to get through their day.
When I collaborate with accounts – I partner with people who have similar energy to mine and value the same things I do. This way our communities will truly benefit from one another and my community can find someone new who they will more than likely find value in as well.

I highly suggest collaborating with others on social media because at the end of the day, we are on social media to be SOCIAL. Meet other people and see the HUMAN behind the little “bubble photograph” you see. We all want to feel important, at the end of the day. If you can make people feel valued – you’ll continue to have a loyal and growing audience.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?

Good question! For me; it was unlearning that “fitting in” will lead to success and happiness. Growing up, we try to be ourselves and then we experience rejection and it forces us to hide the parts of ourselves that others won’t like.

We want to belong and so we are willing to abandon ourselves – in order to do that.

However; if you’re lucky – you learn through a series of failures that TRUE success lies in the happiness that only comes from being YOURSELF.

For years; I tried to “fit in” and be like other online coaches and it led me to working with clients who didn’t appreciate me and going into debt trying to finances a business that wasn’t going anywhere.

For 5 years; I experienced inconsistent success and financial struggle until I finally got tired. Once I finally started openly admitting my true strength was in Astrology and that my skillset was in combining my love of Astrology with my love of Practical Psychology – that was when I finally found happiness and financial success.

Again proving, you’re born the way you are because you’re MEANT to be that person. Don’t be afraid to be who you TRULY are.
