We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Lexie Nause a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Lexie thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s jump to the end – what do you want to be remembered for?
I hope my legacy is that I was generous. Not just in a financial way but generous with my time, my effort and the quality of my work. I hope people remember that they could count on me; that I was there for my community, my family and organizations that I care about.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
My name is Lexie Nause and I own Lilac and Lace Photography. I started photography over 15 years ago in high school and in the last year followed that path into a full time career. My business is made up of many different avenues; family, boudoir, newborn, maternity, weddings, events, seniors and honestly there isn’t an avenue I wouldn’t want to get experience on. Now a days you come across a million photographers, what sets me apart I feel is my artistic style, my reasonable pricing and my quick but thorough editing time. I enjoy capturing moments in people’s lives and enjoy being asked to share in those moments with my clients.
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
I think that I built my reputation by being affordable without selling. myself short, by being an ally for others in the industry and by listening to my clients wants and wishes.
Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
Linking up with other creatives and spaces in the area while creating a good relationship with those people and staying loyal to the main goal has helped grow my clientele. I have been blessed to have an amazing venue and art space called The Artist’s Loft who I can build a clientele with and create lasting memories for those who trust us with their events.
