We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Levelle Salter a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Levelle, thanks for joining us today. What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?
The most meaningful project I’ve worked on was donating my services to the Chris Hope Foundation to help raise donations to ease the financial and emotional burdens families face when their child is in treatment or hospice care. We hosted a karaoke for a cause two years & it was a huge success. The first year done it a family had an urgent need & we raised donations on the spot to help this family in need.

How I got into the industry I’m in is because I’ve been around music all of my life & I started looking into the dj industry while still working & now it has become my full-time business. I offer professional mobile DJ/VJ/KJ Services & I provide a musical entertainment for client’s special occasions. What sets me apart I always go by my favorite mantra, under promise & over deliver. What I’m most proud of is I’ve been able to provide entertainment for my clients for almost two decades & met some amazing people!
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
When building your audience on social media you have to have great content and also be consistent. I make sure I use professional photos & videos as much as I can.
How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
I had to pivot my business and my life when covid entered into our world. I lost family and friends during this time & my business was tested with postponed and canceled events. It was a time of uncertainty for people & we had to be optimistic & hope for the best.
