We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Letty Rammal a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Letty, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
The anonymous journal serves as a platform for individuals to share their personal stories, experiences, and thoughts while maintaining their anonymity. Its purpose is to create a space where strangers can connect through their shared experiences, realizing that their stories are not isolated but rather interconnected with others. By collecting these diverse narratives, the journal aims to foster empathy, understanding, and a sense of unity among its readers, highlighting the common threads that bind us all together. When a stranger locates the book, they write their part to the story anonymously and pass it on. It’s much more than a book, it’s a movement.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
A veteran of the United States Air Force and curator to the Global Project, My Page Matters, Letty has inspired millions of people to share their stories through the movement. What began as a journal entry in 2020 was later published and inspired thousands’ to add.
Her journey began when she returned from her first deployment and later separated from the military. She began to journal and became inspired by the thought of thousands pinning their thoughts anonymously.
She is most proud of the amount of people who continue to participate while remaining anonymous and continues to be inspired by the stories added to the book.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
Remaining authentic has always been my personality. I’ve never swayed from who I am as a person, rather, I’ve used it as a tool to market not just the book but my story.
I think building a reputation is more about self development and evolving in who you are, which I think takes a person further than any business or social media strategy

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
I had to unlearn imposter syndrome, significantly. I always doubted my ability in achieving anything and when I had this idea for the book I developed, I found myself stuck several times because I didn’t know where to start. It took months to figure it out, but with the support from my attorneys, friends, family and strangers across social media who constantly support the book and all that it stands for, I unlearned self doubt and found a confidant I needed in the movement and the confidence to pursue it.
