Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to LETRISSA FRIESON. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
LETRISSA, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. So, let’s imagine that you were advising someone who wanted to start something similar to you and they asked you what you would do differently in the startup-process knowing what you know now. How would you respond?
Being an entrepreneur for 23 years comes with so much wisdom, hindsight, regrets, and forward thinking! If I had known how to build and keep relationships with my past clients I would’ve made a million dollars every year I have been in business! People are the heart of EVERY BUSINESS! How you treat people after you’ve served them matters!

LETRISSA, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
It is hard not to smile the moment you engage with Letrissa Frieson. Her jovial spirit and warm personality invite you to let your guard down and feel inspired to celebrate every one of life’s moments. She is more than a veteran realtor and proven leader. She is a friend, a supporter, an advocate, and a breath of fresh air. Her family moved to Atlanta from small town Georgia in 1989. She was part of one of the first classes to graduate from Tri-Cities High School after it was combined, and she later went on to attend Georgia State University and Clayton State University to study political science. She always thought that to be successful, one must pursue careers that guaranteed high salaries, like law or medicine. She knew she could serve others with a degree in law, but her heart continued to pull her in a different direction. Letrissa had always admired individuals who risked it all to chase their dream and have a business of their own, and she knew one day she wanted to be able to do the same.
At the age of 21 she purchased her first home, and her desire to serve others transformed into a life’s calling. She enrolled in classes the following year and began a vocation she had been seeking for many years. She was met with challenges from the beginning, and she learned many difficult lessons, but she overcame them with patience and a sense of curiosity. “I was told so many times to get a ‘real job’. But my career has been shaped by all the losses and mistakes I have made over the years.”
Like so many in the industry, Letrissa had to become creative during the market crash in 2008 in order to keep her real estate business alive. Some months, that meant walking away and taking a break to generate income in other ways. “I have a box of bought receipts from when I became a tour guide trying to keep my head above water!” In 2009, Letrissa received a reality check in the form of a 1099-form for $12,500 and immediately accepted the truth. She decided to ditch her “Plan B” and take herself seriously as an agent. “If I was going to make it in this business, I had to go all in. I had to take myself seriously or no one else would.”
Since October of 2010, Letrissa has not looked back, and her trajectory has propelled her into a career of which she is immensely proud. In 2015, she was named #1 Individual Agent for Keller Williams Atlanta Partners and in 2018 was named Agent of the Year. Since 2017, she has finished every year in the top 50 of over 30,000 agents within her office at Pinnacle Partners. She has served as the President of the Coweta Women’s Council of Realtors, and she was the first African American woman on the International Agent Leadership Council for Keller Williams Southeast Region. Of all her titles however, her favorite is teacher. Letrissa is a Certified Real Estate Instructor for the state of Georgia and has found that leading and inspiring the next generation of realtors has been extremely rewarding. “If you want to learn something, teach it. You learn it twice!”
Letrissa’s life is rich in love and health. She wakes up every morning for her 6AM CrossFit class to get her day started. She loves to fish, and she loves to read anything from self-help to wealth building, real estate, taxes and more. She loves to shop, garden, work on home renovation projects and cuddle up with her fiancé George and Governor, her Frenchie.
Today is she passionate about helping others chase their dreams and build big lives for themselves and their family. She believes that leadership means being able to have others follow you while you lead from the back, and she feels success every time she knows her clients and colleagues feel respected and supported. “I love being able to show families that home ownership is possible for them, especially if they never thought it could be. Real estate has been my ministry over the years and being able to serve my clients has been a gift.”

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
