We recently connected with Letitia Mcintosh and have shared our conversation below.
Letitia, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?
I have been working on a documentary about a man sentenced 51 years for a murder he did not commit. I have been working on it for over two years. When I met Mr. Williams, he indicated that he was no Angel, he has done wrong things when growing up, but that he did not do this and he wants to clear his name before he leaves this planet. I did some research, and I believe he is innocent of this murder. I want to do what I can to help him clear his name. It happens too much, people are wrongfully convicted of crimes and their lives are ruined, and it seems like nobody cares. I feel like it is the least I can do while I am on this planet…help someone that nobody else will help.

Letitia, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My background is in information technology, for more then 20 years I worked for public accounting firms in the IT Department and for technology companies as a trainer and onboarding specialist. I was trying to learn how to animate my training videos when I came across a filmmaker program in my area. I signed up initially to learn how to use editing software but I soon realized the program had much more to offer. I have a gift of organizing large projects and I am very detailed oriented, so the role of production manager and line producer is a perfect fit for me. I have worked on several independent film projects in the Detroit. I feel good helping people get their movies/series made and helping them pull everything together. My success is measured when everyone shows up on set at their appointed time, when the locations are left cleaned and in order, just as it was when we arrived. Then to see the completed movie/series steaming.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
The most rewarding experience is when I helped people fulfill their dreams. When a young artist, or even an older person has an interest in gaining a significant role and I am able to connect them with a person looking for a person that will work hard to complete the role. People express appreciation to me for helping them, and I like to give a humble response, “To God Be The Glory”. I don’t want to take credit, I just hope that I am doing what God put me in the position to do.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
I would like to complete the film projects over the next seven years, because I would like to retire at 65 and live comfortably while I volunteer and continue to do things that will help people fulfill their dreams.
