Leticia, appreciate you joining us today. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
My journey with Love Olive Kitchen began when my son was born.
Due to his allergies to common ingredients like eggs and flour, I used my pharmaceutical chemistry background to better understand his food sensitivities.
With the goal of creating healthy, “no allergy” recipes, I experimented with different combinations of ingredients to avoid fillers and highly processed foods.
When the pandemic hit, I saw an opportunity to pursue my passion even further.
Rather than seeing confinement as a limitation, I used this time to try new combinations of ingredients and further my education by completing Harvard’s Chemistry in Food course. With each passing day, my resolve to create wholesome meals for others grew stronger.
After the pandemic, I began sharing my dishes with friends and family, and the positive feedback was overwhelming. In particular, those with diabetes, including my own mother, noted how my food helped stabilize their glucose levels without the need for medication.
With my experience as a chemist, I know first-hand the benefits of reducing chemicals in our diet and how it can improve how we feel.
With this inspiration, I decided to fulfill my passion and started Love Olive Kitchen, offering smart food options that provide a balance of protein, vegetables, and healthy carbohydrates throughout the day.
Our dishes aren’t just healthy, but delicious too, with bold flavors like citrus, spicy, and sweet and sour that leave you feeling fully satisfied.

As a mother, daughter, and wife, I understand that juggling day-to-day responsibilities can feel like a full-time job. Pursuing our passions can sometimes feel like searching for a needle in a haystack. However, despite the uncertainties of life, I have chipped away at my dream of Love Olive Kitchen one day at a time. With each meal placed on our dinner table and each recipe refinement, I have taken small steps forward with excitement, stress, and determination. For me, food is the best medicine in every way.
It’s important to me that Love Olive Kitchen embodies a conscious commitment to loving nature, fostering creative learning, and promoting transcendent healing through wholesome food. As I pursue my passion for the well-being of those I love, I strive to keep Love Olive Kitchen grounded in these values, even amid the challenge to disrupt the food industry. I would like to demonstrate that wholesome food doesn’t have to be limited to just salads, nor does it have to be bland or boring, or you can’t eat desserts. I’m also well aware of the challenges of motherhood, which only makes my commitment to providing healthy, nourishing food all the more pressing.

As a business dedicated to offering food sources without sugar or flour, we face unique challenges that require creativity, dedication, and persistence. We strive to find wholesome paths for each dish we serve, prioritizing nutrition, wellness, and flavor over things like texture or cost.
It’s not always easy to get people on board with this approach, but Love Olive Kitchen is making impressive strides in raising awareness about the importance of mindful eating and nourishing your body. By choosing to saturate your diet with healthy, nutrient-dense foods, you can avoid feeling sluggish, tired, and unwell.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
Based on its commitment to quality, Love Olive Kitchen lives up to its promises of delivering delicious and nutritious meals. The story began a year and a half ago with just one dish, but I quickly discovered the importance of using fresh ingredients to create a wholesome and tasty cuisine.
Realizing that not all dishes could utilize such fresh ingredients, Love Olive Kitchen began introducing more dishes that made use of seasonal ingredients. This dedication to freshness means that their offerings taste better and are always smartly designed to provide an optimal balance between healthy carbs, protein, and vegetables. In addition, Love Olive Kitchen has responded to customer demand by offering desserts that are both low in fat and sugar, making their menu even more well-rounded and health-conscious.
