We were lucky to catch up with Leticia Andrade recently and have shared our conversation below.
Leticia, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s start big picture – what are some of biggest trends you are seeing in your industry?
Artificial Intelligence, or AI. It’s shaking things up in any industry, bringing both opportunities and challenges.
On a positive side, AI makes editing photos a breeze. It can fix flaws and enhance images in no time. But there’s a downside too. Some worry that AI might make images look too perfect, raising questions about authenticity.
Plus, as AI gets more advanced, it could change the way we work. Some photographers are concerned about job security as AI takes on more tasks.
Still, AI is just a tool. It can help us improve our photos, but it can’t replace our creativity. As long as we use it wisely, we can continue to tell stories and express ourselves through our work.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I am a Portrait Photographer based in the Atlanta area. Originally from the mountains outside Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, I made my way to the United States in the early ’90s, pursuing a degree in Art History from Syracuse University. Following my academic journey, I delved into the fashion design industry, dedicating almost a decade to this creative field. For the subsequent ten years, I embraced the role of a stay-at-home mom. As my children entered a new phase of life, I felt a call to reignite my passion for the arts and creativity.
In 2016, at the age of 44, Leticia Andrade Photography was born. Today, my inviting studio serves as a sanctuary, welcoming women of all ages and backgrounds to celebrate their power and beauty through the transformative portrait experience. My work is a testament to my mission of instilling confidence and self-value in the women I capture.
Within the safe confines of my studio, I believe I possesses a unique ability to connect with my subjects, allowing them to be their authentic selves. The experience I craft goes beyond capturing images; it becomes a catalyst for transforming the way these women perceive and feel about themselves.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
Excellence in Customer Service – Providing exceptional customer service is vital for retaining my existing clients and attracting new ones. This begins from the moment a potential client reaches out to me and it grows with every interaction they have with my business. Community Involvement – I actively participate in my local community by sponsoring local events, volunteering with non profits, hosting events related to photography, women empowerment, or collaborating with other businesses or organizations in my area.
Building Relationships – I take the time to understand my clients needs, preferences, and aspirations. Building rapport and trust through genuine interactions can turn one-time clients into repeat customers and advocates for my business.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
My creative journey is driven by a passionate commitment to celebrating women’s beauty and individuality. I use my craft as a tool for empowerment, self-expression, storytelling, and meaningful impact.
