We were lucky to catch up with Letha Sandison recently and have shared our conversation below.
Letha, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
The idea to create Four Moons really came about in two ways, first as an idea for the type of space we wanted to create and the services we wanted to provide but we knew we wanted to allow for a certain level of organic evolution. Both my business partner and I had been living abroad and loved the experience how close ex-pat communities are. When I moved home I felt like the close community connection was largely missing. We wanted to create a space that would allow us to support and bring together local community and build that community connection. Humans are tribal by nature and we believe that we are at our happiest and healthiest when we have a good and close community around us. In addition, we wanted to build a Wholeness space that would approach supportive health care and personal care differently. Have been a life long user of supportive health care practices like acupuncture, Naturopathic medicine, and other assorted healers I noticed I was being given herbs and medicines from different practitioners but I had no idea if they would conflict or impact each other. There was no way to connect what the various treatment protocols. We envisioned a place were providers could work as a team and provide layered and comprehensive support to people with an awareness of what they were doing with other providers. It is a special and unique way or working.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I spent the majority of the last decade working in a non-profit organization. Being of service is a core value for me and was a foundational value for Four Moons. We created Four Moons to be a place that would bring together and support community through classes, workshops, community events, spa and wellness services. In addition, we are a place for community to hold their special events, we host bridal showers, baby showers, weddings, celebrations of life, retirement parties and so much more. We love to hold space for the special events and transitions in people’s lives! Our mission is to support people on their self actualization journey’s and build community. Our unique assortment of healers and practitioners who work together in our Cosmic Collective helps to set us apart from other wellness spaces. They work together to address each layer that and issue or challenge might present. We are so proud of our team and their dedication healing and to providing high quality service.
Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
Our growth strategy with clients has always been to build relationships and to get to know our guests and clients very well. We like to think of our strategy as being relational vs transactional. We are genuinely interested in getting to know our community and clients and building authentic relationships with them. We want to understand what they need, what services and experiences they are looking for, what they like and what resonates with them. We utilize this information when we are developing classes, events, services and products. We strive to be of service and deliver high quality products and experiences that are guest will benefit from and enjoy. To us, our clients are friends and family and strive to get to know them, share ourselves with them and consider their feedback in all of our initiatives. Building brand trust and loyalty has been a core part of our client strategy and we believe that can only be done with authenticity and a dedication to service.
We’d love to hear about how you keep in touch with clients.
Brand loyalty and trust is a critical value for us. We love to engage with our clients and try to communicate with them regularly without being intrusive or overwhelming. We have an active and dedicated social media community. We post stories and on our feed regularly and it is a great way to keep up with what is happening here on property. In addition, we send out regular newsletters sharing new products, highlighting members of our team and their services, we share information we thing our community will find helpful and more. We are slo launching a Podcast this month which we are very excited about! It provide us an opportunity to share more from our team and talk with interesting people from all different industries and walks of life.
