Lester, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.

For me, I was born and raised in a artists family, my parents are artists and I’ve been always related with the entertainment industry. I started taking music classes when I was 5 and before that, my father got me into the music instruments plays in every single way. Since then, I knew it that was the path I wanted to follow, even tho I’ve study in the Central University of Venezuela in Computer Science, I’ve decided to be an artist as my main thing in life.

Also, I think It’s important for the meaning of life to pursue what you’re gonna love to do forever, that’s a very effective way to success, be grateful, and never stop improving in what you’re doing daily and never stop thinking about to create something meaningful for yourself

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

I’m a Venezuelan musician born in Caracas, Venezuela. Son of Lester Paredes and Janette Funes, both parents artists. I get into the music life because of my parents, they introduce me in this world since I was a baby, and got me in music classes when I was 5 years old. Since then until now I never stop studying and be involved with music and entertainment industry.

I’m currently the Multi-instrumentalist and Bandleader backup of the show BAZZAR by Cirque du Soleil since creation until present. I’m one of the most prominent multi-instrumentalist, composer and performer in Venezuela, where I have been highly involved in both the artistic music scene and cinematography productions.

Awarded winning composer, World Class multi-instrumentalist and Music Producer. Expert in Music Production, Outstanding skills in World Music Instruments Performance, Film Music Composer, I’ve represented Venezuela in more than 50 different countries in many tours, music festivals including Cirque du Soleil Tours.

For more than 35 years, I’ve been working in both the music industry and video production leading teams, producing cutting edge original music for albums, videos and forms documentaries, bringing a wealth of knowledge and passion for music and film and an ability to find creative solutions for many different projects.

I’ve expertise performing and playing in more than 70 different instruments for many countries and cultures of the world, collaborating in plenty of music projects as a performer and composer for film, movies, albums, live concerts and more.

I’ve been nominated many times for Latin=Grammys and Pepsi Music Awards, winning few times categories as “Best Album of the Year” among others.

I’ve been working with many famous worldwide artist and companies as: Cirque du Soleil, Fénix Awards Band (México), Piaf, The Musical (México), National Dance Company of Venezuela, Venezuelan National Flute Orchestra, Armando Manzaneros, Natalia Lafourcade, Café Tacvba, Fito Páez, Jorge Drexler, Julieta Venegas, Guadalupe Pineda among others.

It is worth noting that Lester Paredes play more the 20 different instruments as a performer throughout the Cirque du Soleil show, also he even has a performing on tour in countries like India, United Arabs Emirates, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Lebanon, Qatar, Egypt, Dominican Republic, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Argentina and Currently Unites States.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?

For me Music Language is the most effective way to express feelings and emotions, and in the present, connect this way of expression with images is the best way to have some good impact in lives of people.

The most rewarding aspect of being an artist, composer and performer is to be able to make the people feel many different emotions in their own way. When the people come to see a concert, or show, the artist is giving a message but the crowd interpreted in their own way and that’s something beautiful to deliver, the possibility being able to express yourself and also give the people the chance to get it in their own way.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?

My goal as a artist it is to being able to bring joy and peace to the audience. Every time I play my instruments or compose any music, I wish there is some one listening who can be inspired and motivated to follow his path, with respect and meaning. Use art as I was before, not to get followers and like, more to inspired people to follow their dreams
