We recently connected with Leslie Perez and have shared our conversation below.
Leslie, appreciate you joining us today. It’s always helpful to hear about times when someone’s had to take a risk – how did they think through the decision, why did they take the risk, and what ended up happening. We’d love to hear about a risk you’ve taken.
One of the biggest risks I have take is leaving my stable 6 figure income as a Sales Account Manager to go 100% in with my Fitness Online Training Business. It has been almost a year and I am almost matching my income at the corporate job. Life is too short to not be doing something you love. Success is not defined by how much money you make but how happy you are with what you do on a day to day basis,

Leslie, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Leslie Perez, and I am a Women’s Wellness Leader and Online Personal Coach. My journey into personal training began as a passion project, where I dedicated myself to helping women establish healthy routines while balancing a full-time role as a Sales Account Manager at Oracle. For 3.5 years, I juggled both careers until I decided to fully commit to my true passion.
Having started with little knowledge about nutrition and fitness myself, I understand the challenges many women face. My mission is to empower and educate women, equipping them with the knowledge to sustain their wellness journey long after we’ve worked together.
What sets me apart is my dedication to truly PERSONALIZED programs. I craft each plan based on individual experience, mobility, fitness level, time, and available equipment—never using the same program twice because every woman’s needs are unique. My passion for what I do is undeniable, and I believe it shines through in my work.
I’m incredibly proud of the supportive community of women I’ve built, who not only uplift each other but genuinely care for one another. Helping women become the best versions of themselves, watching their confidence and self-esteem grow, is what drives me every day.
I work with women at all stages of life—whether they are young adults, pregnant, postpartum, career-driven, balancing mom life, going through menopause, or enjoying retirement. My goal is to help and make a lasting impact on as many women as I can.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
The most powerful way to grow your clientele is by delivering exceptional results. When you help your clients achieve their goals, they naturally become your strongest advocates, sharing their success stories with friends and family. Each client is not just a project but your most valuable marketing asset. Approach every client with the same dedication and commitment, knowing that their success is a direct reflection of your expertise and care.

How do you keep your team’s morale high?
Managing a team is challenging, and maintaining high morale can be even tougher. However, it’s crucial to treat your team the way you want to be treated—with respect, recognition, and fair compensation for their hard work. Running a business as a solopreneur is tough, and your success will be limited compared to working with a team of like-minded individuals who are all committed to the business’s success.
