We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Leslie Penman Iii. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Leslie below.
Leslie, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s jump to the end – what do you want to be remembered for?
I hope to leave a strong enough legacy behind that will not only benefit my kids but also generations after them. And I truly hope that whatever legacy I do leave behind will bring people together and make the world a better place than before I left it.
I hope to be remembered for being a very loving and caring father. Someone who was always there for his children and also someone who was very passionate about learning and passing on his family history for future generations. I am a firm believer that you can’t know where you are going if you don’t know where you’ve been.

Leslie, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My name Leslie W. Penman III. I am 38 years old. I am from Cleveland, Ohio, born and raised and I am a dad of 4. I am also a truck driver but I love writing. As of now I am just a freelance writer but I have a ton of projects that I want to get out in the open that I am still working on.
Aside from writing just being in my blood, I noticed at a young age that writing came naturally to me and I also noticed that it came easiest to me in terms of subjects in school.
I think what sets me apart from most is that not only do I believe that I have a gift in writing but I also believe in order to be successful you have to enhance your gifts with hard work and dedication.
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
For me, the most rewarding aspect of being an artist is the aspect of freedom. You have the freedom to make things however you want to make them without any initial discrimination or judgement.

How do you keep your team’s morale high?
I think you have to make sure every part of the team understands how important each task or responsibility is, big or small for the success of the team. I would use team sports as a perfect example. You are only as strong as your weakest link. And that means even the teammates on the bench are just as important as the teammates out there actively playing.
