Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Leslie Lehr. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Leslie , thanks for joining us today. Can you tell us the backstory behind how you came up with the idea?
The idea for Leslie Lehr Living wasn’t born overnight, it evolved from a lifetime of curating spaces and a deep passion for the art of editing.
Growing up originally, on the East Coast, I was immersed early on in a classic, timeless aesthetic. My parents renovated homes from the time I was three years old, giving me a front row seat to the magic of how structures become homes. Over the years, whether I was renovating a childhood dollhouse down to the precise miniature details or styling tablescapes for my own family, I realized that creating a beautiful life wasn’t about accumulating more. It was about the beauty of the edited detail.
The true turning point, however, came from the rhythm of my own life. After 21 years of marriage to my husband, Todd, and watching our daughter, Brooke, grow into an independent tween, I found myself looking around our quiet, organized home. I realized I had spent decades mastering the fine art of seamless entertaining, high-low styling, and clutter-free, functional living.
With the encouragement of my husband, I felt a profound calling to share that expertise. I knew how much joy, peace, and clarity a well-edited space could bring to a hectic world, and I wanted to help others experience that same effortless elegance.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
My entry into this industry was entirely organic, shaped by a lifetime of design immersion and the rich tapestry of places I’ve called home. My design perspective truly expanded as my life took me across the country, living originally on the East Coast, followed by time on the West Coast, and ultimately settling in the Southwest.
Each of these regions opened my eyes to vastly different styles of interior design, regional architecture, diverse cultures, and unique landscapes. Moving between these distinct worlds profoundly shaped my imagination, teaching me how to see beauty in different forms. It allowed me to seamlessly blend traditional coastal roots with the breezy elegance of the West Coast and the warm, sun-drenched textures of the Southwest.
As I built my own life my home became my ultimate canvas to merge these influences. I found immense joy in creating, alfresco dinners, styling tablescapes, and maintaining an organized, high-functioning household. Over time, I became the “go-to” resource for friends and community members looking for advice on how to host an effortless party, elevate a room, or provide organized living solutions. Recognizing a collective cultural craving for simpler, more beautiful ways to live, I decided to formalize my passion and launch Leslie Lehr Living to share that cross country, curated expertise on a larger scale.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
Yes, there is a very deliberate and passionate mission driving my creative journey, to redefine modern living through the lens of uncompromising authenticity, curated style, and real life functionality. In a digital landscape filled with fleeting trends, my mission with Leslie Lehr Living is to be a steady anchor of genuine inspiration. As a content creator, my community follows my work because they trust my vision and know exactly who I am. I have spent years cultivating a signature “timeless preppy” aesthetic, and my goal is to show people how to weave that classic, joyful elegance into their everyday lives.
What truly drives this journey is the understanding that Leslie Lehr Living is so much more than just a design aesthetic, it is a reflection of an active, multifaceted lifestyle.
I am not just styling spaces for a photograph, I am living them. Every day, I balance the beautiful, moving parts of being an active wife, a mom, an entrepreneur running my own business, and a leader involved in my local community and philanthropic boards.
Because I understand the fast paced of modern life firsthand, Leslie Lehr Living has become a trusted resource for others who are navigating the same beautiful chaos. It is a place for women looking for effortless, beautiful, and practical tips, not just for special, grand occasions, but for the everyday moments and everything beyond.

How did you build your audience on social media?
When I first started out, I had very little experience with social media. I began quietly, using Pinterest as my creative outlet, simply curating digital boards that reflected my personal style, timeless aesthetic, and love for organized beauty. Once I officially launched Leslie Lehr Living, I transitioned into capturing and sharing real life images of my own design, tablescape, and organization projects.
I quickly realized that passion alone wasn’t enough to navigate the ever evolving digital space, I needed professional guidance. I took control of my learning curve by attending industry seminars, working with marketing professionals, and actively networking with fellow small business owners to share knowledge. I also leaned heavily into analytics, using modern reporting tools to study my audience’s behavior and interests. Instagram rapidly became my primary home, allowing me to pinpoint my exact demographics and cultivate a deeply engaged, loyal community.
