Leshon, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?

Bay Area born, Sacramento Based. Leshon is a singer-songwriter that encapsulates more than just a feeling or emotion.
Rather a nostalgic memory, as well as a breath of fresh air.
Reaching into the depths of his mind to depict emotions once felt, and seen.
A tall and quiet figure. Some say intimidating on the initial encounter.
Stoic at first sight, but permeated with emotion.
Influenced heavily by 2000s R&B, as well as many new-age sounds.
As he continues to break down the norm of stereotypes of all sorts,
He builds a fresh perspective on what life was, and what it currently is.
Unsolvable but completely self aware.

His goal is to influence a new generation of positivity through his musicality. Though he was not raised with the traditional musical background, he worked hard to understand the impact of music and what it truly means to have influence in your art. & this influence is important to be mindful of when creating a product for a consumer that can interpret your works positively or negatively towards themselves, or others.
This is why he strives to create a safe and healthy space for all artists and creatives alike. So that one day, his influence can become a catalyst of positive, hard working, and creative lifestyles for the future generations to come.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

At a glance, you can definitely tell that Leshon was definitely an athlete in a previous life, and that’s because he was! Growing up within an athletic family his main goal throughout life was sports and his vision was set upon that. Starting at the age of eight years old playing football, his work ethic, and tenacity always showed on the field, even at such a young age. His competitive nature is something that has been with him throughout his years, and has always skyrocketed him forward in every facet of life. And his mother being a basketball player definitely played a huge role within the way he is. These were all the tools of success that he needed to become the athlete that he had envisioned to be. But, Faith decided to take another turn, and at the age of 16, he suffered a nearly career ending knee injury. Resulting in the need of an experimental surgery done and him potentially not playing sports ever again in high school.

During his downtime of rehabilitation and surgery, his vision had completely changed, and he was seemingly lost. Until one day he had came in contact with his older brother Jaylind Hudson, whom he had not spoken to in years. Planted the idea, and shared his story of their fathers side of musicality in the family. This had sparked something within the Leshon mentally. Giving him sort of a “second wind” with a passion in life that he could foresee becoming some thing just as great as sports once was for him.

He decided to join choir class and was grouped with the bases. He was horrible at it. But due to his competitive nature, he would not let his temporary failings hinder his vision and goals. So he called upon his choir teacher, and insisted on doing vocal lessons after class so he could become better, and understand music more and more each day. This laid the foundation of Leshon’s musical creation.

Skipping through the years, he had done background vocals for a few artists and cowrote songs with other artists as well. All to work on his craft, and hone in on his abilities that he is slowly unlocking through experiences with other musicians and people with many years, and many hours put into Music. this will all lead up into him meeting someone who will change his life in the most unlikely of ways, in the most unlikely of places.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?

The biggest turning point in the beginning of his career is when he met J Kent, a singer songwriter from Sacramento, California. This spurred an unlikely, but highly value brotherhood between the two. Their connection is songwriters had became something legendary from their first song ever written together in a parking lot in a car at 10 o’clock at night. To now, writing, executively producing, and even co-producing songs that have gained thousands and millions of hits on the Internet for a numerous amount of artists.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?

Teamwork is the most important thing to Leshon. Without the people around him, supporting him, teaching him, and constructively criticizing him, he would not be where he is today. So many connections throughout the city of Sacramento alone, has spurred his career to heights that he cannot imagine just a year before he started making music and putting out his first EP. Though he is still new to the music industry, his upside, and potential is limitless.
