We recently connected with Leshandra Armour and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Leshandra thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. If you had a defining moment that you feel really changed the trajectory of your career, we’d love to hear the story and details.
My defining moment in my life was when I had to chose between living and or dying slowly. At the age of 35 I had to decide if I was going to get a hysterectomy. I was in pain daily due to endometriosis. I tried everything that I knew possible to help me find some relief. I was mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually exhausted at this point. So after much consideration I decided to move forward in getting a partial hysterectomy. Immediately after waking up I felt lost and so alone. It was almost as if my world was unrecognizable. I went into a dark place because I felt as if I was not fully a woman without my reproductive organs. So, at this moment I realized that I needed to do some healing. A friend of mine sent me an article around Yoni eggs and I saw a portion of it mentioning vaginal steaming. After days and weeks of researching vaginal steaming I decided that this was what I needed to heal the trauma Within. After I got certified in doing vaginal steaming for self-care I started doing the work within my heart, mind and spirit. This was a Awakening that changed my life forever. After doing this for a short period of time family and friends started noticing a difference in me. And they start asking if I could assist them as well. I decided to become certified to help those that I love by becoming a vaginal steam facilitator. This was the defining moment that my pain became my blessing and I was able to birth my vision to help women understand they have the power to heal themselves.

Leshandra , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I started doing this work to heal myself and the little girl Within. But this was a Divine setup for me to offer vaginal steaming to women in my community. I am passionate about being a witness to women in their healing. I started this work in 2017 and I’ve been able to see a shift in the clients that come to my business. We do the work by praying, meditating, doing affirmations and really digging deep to get to the core of their trauma. I empower women to not be afraid to heal the things that have kept them in bondage. I am a current student at the Womb Sauna University to become a practitioner. I believe that once we as women see the truth of who we really are then we can change the narratives in our lives and make a new path for generations to come.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
In 2020 when they pandemic hit I found out that I had lupus. The world was shut down and I had no idea what to do. But I knew in spite of the pain that met me most days that my mission to touch women was not going to stop. So I found ways to use social media to spread the message of healing. I decided not to give up on my dreams and or my mission because of a diagnosis. I started teaching my clients that we have the power to choose how we show up in our lives. So in this time I realize how important it is for me to not only show up for my clients but for myself.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
I had to unlearn the beliefs that I was not lovable, Worthy, and or enough. As a little girl the actions of the adults in my life made me question my own existence. So through the work of vaginal steaming I was able to dismantle all the lies that I believed about myself. I decided to see me the way God see me
