We were lucky to catch up with Lequita Sharrock recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Lequita thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
My spirituality serves as the inspiration behind my business ventures.
After years of running into obstacles in the corporate world, in 2015, I took a leap of faith and decided to start our family business, Sharrock Media Group.
Yes, there have been moments of trials and tribulations. However, my God is faithful. I stand firm on the promises of his deliverance.
The byproduct of prayer, devotion and studying his word has resulted in great opportunities for our company.
Our trees and streams include podcasts, sports media outlet, life/business coaching, government contracts and a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Lequita, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I am the Chief Executive Officer of Sharrock Media Group and founder of the 501c3 non-profit organization, Beyond The Booth, Inc.
In 2019, I received my certification as a life, business and Christian coach. The following year, I studied to become a mental health first-aid advocate.
I also host a podcast titled UnStoppable with Lequita Sharrock. This show features commentary on mindset and applying faith-based actions to achieve resilient results. The podcast created space to work as a guest columnist with the Tallahassee Democrat.
My business ventures are rooted in a deep passion for community service. I’ve volunteered with Gentiva Hospice, Wife Talk, Inc. and Pink Peaches. These organizations respectively focus on senior citizens, marriage ministry and support for breast cancer survivors.
I am a native of Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Currently, I live in Tallahassee, Florida. Family is of the utmost importance to me. I have been married for 11 years to Rory Sharrock. I’m a mother of three children – Taylor, Grant and Paige. I also have a 1-year-old grandson named Apollo.

Do you have any insights you can share related to maintaining high team morale?
As a manager, communication with your team is important. You must value who they are as individuals and as a group. There is a two-way channel in communication. There must be clarity with positive reinforcement.
