We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Le’Quae Mister. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Le’Quae below.
Le’Quae, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Coming up with the idea is so exciting, but then comes the hard part – executing. Too often the media ignores the execution part and goes from idea to success, skipping over the nitty, gritty details of executing in the early days. We think that’s a disservice both to the entrepreneurs who built something amazing as well as the public who isn’t getting a realistic picture of what it takes to succeed. So, we’d really appreciate if you could open up about your execution story – how did you go from idea to execution?
My start was just like anyone else. I wanted to find a hobby that would turn into a passion and then a lifestyle. Growing up I always had the basic knowledge or art as well as the talent. Most people in my family are able to draw or do graphic design as well. Because of that, it was fairly easy for me to understand, where they was coming from, both as an creative and as a business owner. Everyone starts off wondering what they should do and eventually come up with a name, which is sometimes the hardest part. Once you have that done, it is time to put your ideas on paper and then into motion. You must convert your ideas into reality as that’s the only way to reach your dreams. By hard work, respect, networking, consistency etc, you can use these { character traits } to turn or grow your idea into a proper execution for your business. Also you can talk to, watch and study, or learn from others failed or success stories. All of this defined who I am as well as helped me grow as an business owner. After I came up with my name after changing it many times as well as coming up with different logos for my brand, I decided what thinks I would like to do. Due to me wanting to do alot and trying my best to make anything asked, I came up with the name ” Fantasy Designz “. It took me a few weeks to decide that thats my name that i will go by. The only thing I had to figure out then was logo { changed over time } , color scheme, and services. Also I had to figure out what laptop at the time I wanted and or needed. Once that was completed I had to figure out the famous question ” HOW TO GET CLIENTS “.
Le’Quae, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Le’Quae { Can call me ‘ Quae ” }. I am currently 24yrs old as of 2022. I have a general backround in art as well as advanced / expert level in graphic design. I got onto graphic design by watching my uncle Donald enjoy making many party flyers etc for both small and big names like : Baltimore artist ”Smash aka Tmac”, Cashland, TheOvalOffice, Dj Duke, Tyler Perry and more. By watching and and learning my passion for art grew even more. It inspired me to do more as well as touch as many people as I can. Im proud to say and give shoutout to the following labels/artist that I have worked with : YSL, Billon Dollar Baby Ent, Cashmoney, Qc, Nipsey All Money In, B.E.T, Bridgethegap, Mrruntellthat, BmoreWrapreview, Niakay, Young Moose, Yg Baby, PtheQueen, Waverunner Lays, Sorcez Dinero, Trubill Rico Reed, 2Oclock club, Larry Flint Club, Club Lust, Lil Crow, Uncle Dj Duke and more. W\ith graphic design you have to have alot of patience, respect, communication skills, teamwork, as well as the talent. The services I provide vary depending on if you need single or bundle services as well . Some of the services I provide are : Logos, Creative thinking, Project Manager, Business Card, Music Covers, Flyers, Motion Gfx, Websites, Most importantly great customer service & turnaround times . The problem that I solve for my clients are first EASE of the mind. I like to make sure they are treated equally as well as fairly. The other problem I like to help them with is understanding their business practices, in – &- outs, marketing, budgets, and lastly design. I believe that those things are what set me apart especially my great customer service and outgoing positive attitude. I always look for ways to help my clients and think about them first as I honestly dpn’t like the spotlight as much and rather see them be the rockstar. I am most proud of how I am able to helps other and put a smile on their faces because it makes me feel good. I want people to know that I am more then a designer, I am a friend that you can count on that honest and will have your best interest at heart.
Alright – let’s talk about marketing or sales – do you have any fun stories about a risk you’ve taken or something else exciting on the sales and marketing side?
My favorite story is when I did a sale on multiple items for one price. The response that ir generated was amazing and overwhelming as well. Orders came flooding in. I was unsure if I could complete the orders especially in a timely manor as well as many fast deadlines. I almost wanted to quit but I didn’t because I would’t want someone to quit on me. At the end mof the day I did get all done in timely manor but, I learned it was a teaching moment as well. I learned to work faster but pace sef as well as set times and boundaries. By doing that and staying focus I completed every task. This also lead me to being super consistant with daily posts. With the daily posting it help me reach a more wider audience as I showed the different styles and or services that I can do. This also taught me to believe in myself more and try. By doing this it helped me reached business owners, celebs and promoters like : Dababy artist ” Kaykilo “, “Rich Dunk”,promoters like ” big Harold ” { young Moose manager }, Mrruntellthat and more.
What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
The best source for clients are social media, word of mouth and actually connecting with people. The more work you do the more eyes you will have on you. Stay focus, motivated, and have faith as it is hard to find new clients sometimes. Most of the time you don’t find clients they find you.
