We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Leonard Wygant Jr. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Leonard below.
Hi Leonard, thanks for joining us today. Learning the craft is often a unique journey from every creative – we’d love to hear about your journey and if knowing what you know now, you would have done anything differently to speed up the learning process.
Honestly I learned best from just messing with my computer, I also watched a LOT of tutorials from people like JayCactus on YouTube. A way I would’ve been able to speed up the process for myself would’ve been watching more tutorials, & spend more time on my computer composing the instrumentals. Instead of focusing on other things. My most difficult obstacle is definitely taking time out of my days to perfect my craft, & trying to motivate myself when I felt like I had no motivation to continue. My ability to hear, & see the project as I’m making whatever it may be that I decide to work on, also my ability to keep an open ear to whatever could possibly sound good is very essential to my craft.

Leonard, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
There’s not really much too me, I’m very nonchalant, & charismatic jokester kind of guy. I just do what I want, what I like. I’ve always loved music ever since I was a kid, whenever I would listen to songs as a kid I would often remix the beat in my head, or the song completely. As I got older I started listening to different kinds of music, with different beats, & melodies. I would try to put different genres together for a different, but good unique sounds. With artist I’ve collaborated with I’ve helped with things as little as song names, to something as big lyrics or a type of flow for a verse/song. What am I most proud of..? That’s a great question to ask, but I will say I am genuinely grateful, & proud of moments like these. Where I can share my story, talk about my craft, expand, & grow my brand. I love the positive response people give over something I put my life into.
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
My goal is to make an album / mixtape with Lil Durk (and various other artist), but my mission is completely different for my goal. My mission is either way to give out good music, and a good vibe, that’s the overall mission. All I could want

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
My most rewarding aspect is honestly the positive feedback, someone noticing, & congratulating your major accomplishments that are achieving. It just feels good.
