We were lucky to catch up with Leo Gravina recently and have shared our conversation below.
Leo, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Taking care of customers isn’t just good business – it is often one of the main reasons folks went into business in the first place. So, we’d love to get a conversation going around how to best help clients feel appreciated – maybe you can share something you’ve done or seen someone do that’s been really effective at helping a customer feel valued?
Restaurant Business is like when you invite people at your house. The most important and relevant things do to its greed the guest at the door and giving a very nice and warm welcome.
Guests like to be recognize!

I was raised with very strict parents and the same time spoiled when I was deserving to be spoiled after I was accomplishing something good.
I had a lot of discipline and stay out of trouble starting at young age on practicing several sports.
This help me a lot on understanding how to behave on different situations, keeping calm trying to understand people, friends, family and now days employees.
Like I said in the past I end up in restaurant business after I retired from soccer, so I put a lot of dedication and effort to learn every aspect of this industry
Thanks to my experiences I have learned to respect everyone and manage the best way I can to deal with different level of people and understanding everyone needs. This the reason why I have good connections, good friends and good people around me because I’m very accommodating and easy going with everyone.
Open a restaurant is not easy, but when we decide with my partners to adventure, I was sure that iI could do. I’m very good with people and I treat every guest like they are coming at my house.
Numero 28 Concepts is Family oriented business, starting from my partner and friend Rolando Biamonte which is the founder and Bernardo Nolfo which good friend and Business adventures.
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
I build my reputation on always being dedicate, honest, creating connection with all kind of people and especially being respectful with everyone.
Respect it’s a number one rule! That’s how you build credibility.
How do you keep your team’s morale high?
Normally when you work in hospitality you spend more time with your employees then your family. I treat my employees like my family and I come to work always with a good attitude and grateful to be alive.
So I like to come to work happy and transmitted good vibes and energy with everyone. I take the job seriously but at the same I throw some joke here and there!
I definitely don’t like people with bad vibe and negative, so I try to keep always positive no matter what!
