LeNiece, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. One of the most important things we can do as business owners is ensure that our customers feel appreciated. What’s something you’ve done or seen a business owner do to help a customer feel valued?
We have a monthly Customer Appreciation Program. We pick one customer every month and surprise him/her with a gift bag full of items provided by our business partners, a card & gift card for future purchases from Trio. It’s awesome to see their reactions when they arrive at Trio to “talk to us about something” and then realize they are our customer of the month.
LeNiece, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My husband and I are the owners of Trio Banquet Center & Rentals. Trio is located in St. Charles, MO off of highway 70 and Zumbehl. We offer several packages to choose from such as the basic package (that includes 4 guest tables and 1 8ft food table), and other packages that include more tables, chairs, linen, basic centerpieces, lighting, a DJ, a bartender, a caterer, dessert options, and a kitchenette. We have All Inclusive Packages, Entertainment Packages, Graduation Packages, Wedding/Reception Packages, Rehearsal/Rehearsal Dinner Packages, Birthday Party Packages, Baby Shower Packages, and Celebration of Life Packages that can meet any event need & budget. Clients can bring in their own vendors or use one of our in-house vendors that we highly recommend. We can accommodate small and large parties of up to 80 guests.
Trio Banquet Center & Rentals is also a full event rental store. We offer pick up from the store and delivery options for an additional fee, based on the mileage from our warehouse, to the event. Our inventory includes tables, chairs, a foam machine, giant games, movie night set ups, tents, a bounce house, yard signs, concession items, VIP furniture, chair covers/sashes, drink solutions, vases, decor items, and so much more. Clients can call to schedule a tour during regular business hours (Monday & Friday 11:00am-5:00pm, Tuesday & Wednesday 11:00am-4:00pm, Saturday 11:00am-2:00pm, Thursday & Sunday CLOSED). Can you talk to us about how your side-hustle turned into something more.
I started Trio Banquet Center & Rentals several years ago under a different name with a close friend as a hobby. My husband (Chris) joined the business soon after and our hobby turned into a passion for event planning and acquiring event items that can be rented out. Our years of experience in coordinating events and relationships with numerous vendors has helped us create a dependable and successful business.
How did you build your audience on social media?
We built our social media presence by having accounts on various platforms. We built our audience on social media by inviting friends, family, customers, and businesses to like/follow our pages. We post often and consistently.
