We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Leland Ferguson. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Leland below.
Leland, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Is there a heartwarming story from your career that you look back on?
Growing up I either wanted to be a chef, architect, or a dinosaur. Come high school, I met a girl on my track team who was suffering from shin splints.
Other than a great moment to spend some unusual quality time with her, and not knowing how I was going to help her, a thought crossed my mind as I was working on her. There’s got to be some sort of profession like this where I can physically help people out of their injuries, being able to do something I love, helping people.
That’s when the idea of chiropractic was planted in my mind as a possible future profession.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
The previous question answers how I got into chiropractic.
I provide chiropractic care, a non invasive way to help the body heal without the need for medication and/or surgery.
I solve migraines, vertigo, headaches, neck and back pain, injuries to the shoulder, elbow, wrist, hips, knees, feet.
What sets me apart is that I truly care for my patients, willing to spend the time and effort to figure out what the root cause of their injuries and pain is.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
Fresh out of undergrad, I got jobs working in labs, in the biotech industry.
While it paid the bills, and loved the people I worked with, it didn’t satisfy my soul.
Several coworkers went to school on the side to become massage therapists, acupuncturists, and chiropractors. They always walked back to work with a fire in them that I wanted for myself.
That’s when I decided it was time to go to chiropractic school

Do you think you’d choose a different profession or specialty if you were starting now?
Absolutely yes. Although I wished that I had started it sooner than later.
However, I think that God puts certain people and events in your life to prepare you for what you need to do, on his timing, not yours.
