Today we’d like to introduce you to Leilany Celeste.
Hi Leilany, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My story is a testament about how everything comes in due time: I got into the performing arts at a young age and when I was 14, I booked my first professional lead SAG job. From that project, I received my invitation to join the union at age 15. After lots of deliberating, I decided not to join just yet so that I can continue growing as an artist without the pressures of booking. I went to New York University and graduated in Spring 2023. Now I’m a little over one year out of college and I’ve been blessed to have booked some really amazing projects (SVU, The Equalizer, FBI). It was a lot of waiting and a true test of perseverance, but I’m humbled to have had the journey I’ve had, and I’m excited for what the future has in store.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
One of the lessons I hold close to my heart is to keep believing in your potential. It was a long 8 years since my teenage role until I booked anything else, and through the doubts and second-guessing, I still kept focus on my goal. It was a challenge, and I credit my parents for believing in me even when I didn’t. That’s another important thing to remember: your tribe creates your vibe. I had a strong, faithful, supportive tribe behind me and keeping my circle small allowed me to be around people who uplifted and inspired me
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m an actress first and foremost, but I do love being a jack of all trades. I guess I would say that now I’m known publicly for my role as Tanya Garcia, but in my inner circle I’m best known for being a massive reader, pretty talented cook, and for always picking up a new hobby. I love learning and discovering new things, and I believe that sets me apart. I’m always on the search for a deeper meaning and I crave connection. It’s a beautiful thing to be on this earth with others you can learn from, and I think that constant search for betterment has really aided me in succeeding.
Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
Yes! Becoming Supernatural by Joe Dispenza has changed my life. I learned about my energy centers and the truth behind how our thoughts can truly shape our reality. It’s helped me take control of my past, present, and future
