We were lucky to catch up with Leigh-Anne LoPinto recently and have shared our conversation below.
Leigh-Anne, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Was there a moment in your career that meaningfully altered your trajectory? If so, we’d love to hear the backstory.
My divorce was my defining moment in my career, as it propelled me to specialize in love, sex, and relationships.
Prior to that time, I was practicing as a psychologist in a very general way. But once I went through the heartbreak of the ending of a 17 year relationship, and did the inner work to heal and prepare myself for a very different way of relating, I began to assist other people with the wisdom that I learned through the fire.
At first, I was resistant to the idea of becoming a relationship coach, and had a little bit of imposter syndrome. But women began to come to me asking specifically that I help them with relationships, as they knew that I had embodied experience of healing from divorce and rebuilding my life so that I had incredible, healthy relationships.
Leigh-Anne, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I am a Los Angeles based psychologist, relationship coach, and breathwork teacher with 13+ years of experience.
I have worked with thousands of people all over the world to heal relationship wounds, develop healthy self-love, and attract incredible relationships.
I specialize in conscious relationships and spiritual partnership, using relationships to evolve both personally and spiritually.
Most of my clients are women who have a pattern of settling for less than they deserve, and who need to strengthen their self-love and boundaries. I often help people to overcome codependency and move into secure, healthy attachment.
I also help many people to do the inner work to prepare for incredible romantic partnerships, and also to heal from break-ups and divorce.
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
Clients can tell that I am someone who has the lived experience of hitting rock bottom in my life due to a painful divorce, and completely overhauling everything. They see that I have a certain level of embodied wisdom to share about relationships that was hard earned. Most people feel that this quality makes me more trustworthy, because they know that I’m coming from a place of understanding with where they are coming from.
If you could go back, would you choose the same profession, specialty, etc.?
Yes, absolutely! This is the work that I was meant to do, and I feel very grateful to be connected to my life purpose.
