LEEANN, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. How did you come up with the idea for your business?

After spending many years working in the food industry, I came up with the idea for Krazy Cake Lady. My love for baking and creating delicious treats led me to start this business. It’s all about sharing my passion for baking with the community. Krazy Cake Lady is the result of my hard work and dedication in the culinary world.

From childhood days spent alongside my mother in the kitchen, to adolescent ventures selling baked goods at local events, my affinity for culinary creation was evident early on. This passion led me to pursue a career in the food industry, where I honed my skills in scratch baking at a local bakery. Drawing inspiration from my experiences working with mom-and-pop establishments, I embarked on the entrepreneurial path in 2020, despite the challenges posed by the pandemic. Navigating the uncertainties of starting a business amid a global crisis was daunting, especially as a single mother. However, armed with over two decades of industry experience and unwavering determination, I seized the opportunity to establish my own bakery. With a firm belief in my abilities and a commitment to serving the Frisco community, I embarked on this journey, confident in my capacity to deliver fresh, delectable cakes and desserts.
Today, Krazy Cake Lady stands as a testament to resilience and dedication, having flourished despite the adversities faced. It is a privilege to have had the opportunity to cater to the community’s sweet cravings over the past few years, and I look forward to continuing this journey of culinary excellence and community engagement.

The Evolution of Krazy Cake Lady’s Social Media Presence Unbeknownst to me, my journey in baking had already begun building an audience long before the inception of Krazy Cake Lady. Through sharing my creations on social media over the years, I inadvertently garnered excitement among enthusiasts for the prospect of custom cakes and desserts crafted from scratch. This prompted the establishment of dedicated social media channels for Krazy Cake Lady, where I diligently showcased each culinary masterpiece. As time progressed, my online presence flourished, attracting a multitude of supporters and clients, marking a testament to the power of social media in fostering community and business growth.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?

I underwent a significant shift in mindset from employee to entrepreneur, a process that proved challenging given the societal emphasis on traditional employment. Transitioning to an entrepreneurial role demanded a fundamental shift in thinking. While arduous, this journey has been immensely rewarding, as it has allowed me to embrace new challenges and continuously evolve.
