Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to LeeAnn Barnes. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
LeeAnn, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Being a business owner can be really hard sometimes. It’s rewarding, but most business owners we’ve spoken sometimes think about what it would have been like to have had a regular job instead. Have you ever wondered that yourself? Maybe you can talk to us about a time when you felt this way?
I am happier as a business owner. I know that although I’m much busier than if I was employed at a job, I’m fortunate to have the freedom and flexibility to create my own schedule.
Being a business owning wife and mom comes with many challenges. Since I wear so many hats in my business, I’m never “off the clock” and always in work mode, so to speak. There are times when my biggest challenge is to allow myself a day off and truly rest. I honestly cannot remember the last time I’ve considered what it would be like to have a job working for someone else.
Even with constant challenges arising and the uncertainties month to month, being a business owner is the best decision for myself and my family. The challenges are worth the reward of the flexibility this offers my family.

LeeAnn, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
When COVID kept us all at home in 2020 it changed the way food options were available to us. An idea was born. Contactless ordering and pickup of gourmet charcuterie & dessert food options that can be enjoyed with your loved ones. Something beautiful and delicious to bring smiles to the faces of the recipient during uncertain times.
As a 4th generation in the restaurant & hospitality business, it just comes naturally to me to have an interest in gourmet foods. I discovered my talent for creating edible art years ago when I would opt for something not only delicious but also beautiful and unique when attending family gatherings or gift-giving.
Food brings everyone together and I cherish that my business has grown into a full scale charcuterie event catering service. I have the privilege of being part of so many events & special moments in the lives of my community.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
I built my social media presence by constantly putting out relevant, unique and consistent content. If I could give advice to anyone just starting out, marketing, marketing, marketing. Post multiple times per day on any and all social sites. In the age of free social media, capitalize on the ability to market and reach your audience for free. People can’t give you their money and use your services, if they don’t know your business exists, or how to get in contact with you. Consistency is key.
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
I believe that stellar customer service, using the finest quality ingredients, consistency and word of mouth has built a 5 star reputation within my local community.
