We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Leean Brown. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with LEEAN below.
LEEAN, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Almost every entrepreneur we know has considered donating a portion of their sales to an organization or cause – how did you make the decision of whether to donate? We’d love to hear the backstory if you’re open to sharing the details.
When Forty & Free- A Journey of Faith & Healing was first published in 2021 it was my desire to donate a portion of the monies from sales to the female surgical ward of the hospital where my surgery was done. In the attempt to do so I made contact with my doctor to follow due process, but he encouraged me to donate the funds to another cause because there was too much red tape involved with financial donations. I asked the LORD what to do and was directed to donate the funds to my local church renovation project. I am a cheerful giver and love kingdom service, so I gladly did this and can say I am happy I did.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I am Leean Brown the face behind #LBInspirations and #movewithfaith encouragement and author of the book Forty & Free – A Journey of Faith and Healing https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DQHXM5B7 which is a testimonial penned after going through a difficult season of life.
In the coming year I will be releasing two devotionals and a poetry book -follow my social media accounts for release dates and titles.
My journey in the industry began in November 2021, a week after undergoing a myomectomy. It came from a deep desire to share my personal story as a source of encouragement to other women and help them know that they are not defined by societal labels and also to inspire them to not suffer in silence while dealing with fertility issues. In the hope to share my story and inspire others I researched how to publish a book and discovered Amazon’s self-publishing which was ideal for me as a new author without the finances to publish locally.
At the start of 2024 I enrolled in Crystal Daye’s coaching program – Author CEO Academy as an investment in myself to become a successful and profitable authorprenuer as I impact lives through my God given gift. Since joining the Academy I have learnt far more than I did when I first came into the industry. Faced with personal and financial challenges I stepped away from the Academy for a while, but I am working towards returning for further coaching.
Through my work I encourage women facing fertility or other issues, and others who find it hard to trust God, to keep faith and hope in God during the waiting period. My mission is to inspire women to move in faith despite life’s challenges and to trust God even when it feels hard.
What sets me apart is my confidence in sharing my personal experience and being able to offer a raw, honest and relatable account of my journey. I believe my faith-based perspective during the process will also inspire others to face their own challenges with courage and resilience, and although I am yet to be a biological mother, I am still confident in God’s ability to perfect that which concerns me.
I am most proud of my willingness to share my personal struggle, fear and vulnerability in the aim to help break down stigmas surrounding women’s health, the legacy my book will leave to inspire future generations face their challenges with faith, courage and resilience, and the fact that my book made it to number 1 new release on Amazon in December 2021, a month after self-publishing. I am also proud of the fact that I am the first in my family to attend university, the first to be an author and the first to obtain an MBA.
I want my followers to know that they can overcome life’s challenges and be the best version of themselves if they keep their faith strong.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The most rewarding aspect of being a creative is knowing my work is a source of encouragement and inspiration to positively impact lives and knowing that my work can reach millions of people and spaces I am yet to enter. My hope is that many more lives will be transformed through my work.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
Recently I was dealing with the imposter syndrome, and it resulted in me being inconsistent with my work. I then remembered that my work matters to others and decided that even when I am faced with personal issues, as Coach Crystal said, “I need to separate my business life from my personal life and show up for my fans”.
As a result, I rebranded and republished my book on December 14, 2024, and am looking forward to restarting the revamped #movewithfaith series on my social media accounts in the New Year.
